Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Newark
POE Date : 2009-02-01
Got EAD Stamp : No
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Very simple process. We were done much faster than I thought. Fingerprints done at passport control counter. Officer asked me a few questions - how long I knew her, how we communicated. Then escorted to a room adjacent to baggage claim where an officer worked on her papers for about 10 minutes then called her up and handed her passport. She said, "I finished?" and he said, "You're all done." Then another officer opened the door into baggage claim for us and welcomed her to the US.

Consulate Review: Guangzhou, China
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 3, 2009
Embassy Review : Full interview result over at candleforlove.com. It went pretty smoothly. We got pink and they had the visa in 48 hours, which avoided a nightmare since they were about to have a prolonged closure for Chinese New Year. Strongly advise attending ACH or having evolution letter notarized at ACS, which gives you a chance to chat with a visa officer and they often will note your conversation in her file.
Good luck to everyone!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
