Congrats to all the recent EAD/AP/GC approvals.

We had our 485 interview last Fri and it was approved.. yay :dance:

well, i've been absent from VJ for a while. i've tried to catch up with this thread, but i missed a lot! it looks like there's good and bad news out there - good luck to everyone waiting and those with interviews soon.

i found out i had a rare, but treatable, type cancer in july. i had surgery almost 2 weeks ago, which was successful. so i'm recovering and doing well, and just have to have regular testing/follow up. i'm back at work now, and trying desperately to catch up here. but i wanted to check in with my fellow april filers and wish you all well.

i must say, i'm very glad we got our GC, because if anything had come up over the last month, i'm not sure i could have handled it. i think someone was watching out for me.

anyway, i'm going to sign off now so i'll do some work - but i'll come back and fully catch up with everyone's news later this week.

GOOD LUCK OUT THERE! :star:

well, i had my interview today and it was a breeze!!!

we had to wait like an hour and a half because they were running majorly behind, but once it was our turn we were done in like 15 minutes!

the woman was soooo nice, and offered her help with any questions we had once the interview was over.

she was very helpful.

she really only asked me one question - how did we meet and when?

other than that, she asked me those yes or no questions that were on the application and she said everything looked good, stamped my passport, took a copy of our identifications and told me i would see my 10 year card in the mail in a few weeks!

i am kinda laughing at myself right now...why the heck was i so worried? LOL.

but yeah, it is finally over.

good luck to the rest of you, be patient and don't be a ball of nerves like me...it literally was a complete breeze!!!

oh, i forgot one thing - the only thing she asked to see from the whole stack of paperwork that i brought along was evidence of our marriage.

i brought a copy of our mortgage, bank statements and car insurance and that was enough for her.
