Really cheap electricity, gas and water... No environmental taxes on those! Woohoo!

Much more freedom in life-planning: taking care by myself of health insurance, my retirement money. I love the opportunity to be self responsible.

Clothes and shoes are so CHEAP! I love it, my shoe collection grows every week!

9-29-2008 I-751 delivered to CSC

12-29-2008 Green Card ordered :)

Citizenship

10-15-2011 Package sent to NSC

10-17-2011 NOA Priority Date

11-25-2011 Biometrics done

11-29-2011 In line for interview scheduling... woohoo!

12-20-2011 Interview scheduled ...received letter 3 days later

01-24-2012 Interview & Oath

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent

I love the central AC we have here, how the streets are not as dirty as in countries I've been to, THE MALLS, cheap cars, on-line banking...

And so many more....

It's funny because I like NEW YORK style Chinese food and prefer the Chinese food from the U.S. much more than from Brazil and Peru.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

10/10/2008---approved at NVC

11/06/2008---interview (more evidence)

02/17/2009---2nd interview- PASSED!!!!!

04/01/2009---He finally landed on US soil. (no joke)

March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

........When living in the Philippines, I could get it at Alabang Town Center, but not consistantly. When in Thailand, I'd have to get one of my Marine buddies get it for me in the Embassy Exchange, if I was lucky enough to be in Bangkok for an extended period of time.

Yep, and I'm thankful for our nearly 100% literacy rate. Although clearly, several people have fallen through the cracks and are barely functionally literate. A lot of Americans can't punctuate a sentence or use a comma, for example.
