American bread is the same. I'm so happy that American scientists have solved

If it smells sour it has turned. You can still use it for baking but it won't taste very good for drinking. If it hasn't turned you can still use it, however it will probably turn sour several days before its posted expiry date. Save it for baking if you are worried about it and get some fresh to drink.

Why is it that in the US organic milk is automatically good for like THREE MONTHS? My family thinks this is what makes it organic and that it's somehow magical and pure like that, when it just means somehow...more processing than the normal :D

I love in Britain and probably other countries how you can buy tiny milks and choose from about 6 different sizes, with the price being relative between all those and not stupidly higher :) Those tiny jugs are SO cute.

I like goat's milk :)

Organic milk is ultrapasturized at a much higher heat to keep the milk free of organisms that can grow at refrigeration temperatures. It's the absence of other chemicals (antibiotics) which are found in regular milk, that requires ultrapasturization. That said, once the milk is opened, it still should be used within a week, not up until the expiration date, because those bacteria will start to grow.

As for the OP's question, I'd definitely throw it away.
