The Gaza Strip is the largest prison on earth.

Last time I checked, escaping from prison was a criminal offence.

Last time I checked it was inhumane to imprison premature babies.

Let them "escape" to Egypt. A people that elect a terrorist group like Hamas don't deserve their own country.

Oooooo that was ironic.

Word to the wise: better do a little more serious thinking (or better yet -- actually *study* history) before you type such hasty remarks.

Because by your own reasoning -- Israelis don't deserve their own country:

Israel has a long history of electing terrorists as their Prime Minister -- for instance, Menachem Begin, and Yitzhak Shamir, and Ariel Sharon....

To you they are terrorists. That is expected considering your POV. To the civilized world they are not. You cannot call Hamas anything but a bunch of terrorists and no one is going to take your calling the hero's of Israel terrorists seriously.

exactly! the only people they killed were brits, arabs, and other jews. it's not like it happened to any REAL humans.

seriously though, do offer an explanation why the acts i cited earlier in the thread, like blowing up the king david hotel, weren't terrorism and and weren't morally and ethically atrocious. the protagonists themselves proclaimed to be terrorists, long before this thread was started. no one has been able to offer a credible dispute of that. mawlison's "there weren't any international terrorism laws back then" was just woefully inadequate.

He isn't a terrorist. Maybe to the Hamas terrorists he was but to everyone else he was a hero.

And what do they do to say "Thanks!"? Launch rockets at civilians. Preferably children. Shame on them. Damn you hell Hamas.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Someone needs some schoolin'. Here's what happened at the King David Hotel:

During the British Mandate, the southern wing of the hotel was turned into a British administrative and military headquarters. In July 1946 it was blown up by the Irgun, the pre-state underground led by Menachem Begin. A warning call by members of the Irgun went unheeded. For many years, the British denied they had been warned. In 1979, a member of the British Parliament produced evidence that a call had indeed reached headquarters regarding an imminent attack, but the officers had dismissed it as a joke, declaring they did not take orders from Jews.[2]

This act of terrorism resulted in the death of 91 people. An additional 45 people were injured. The bombing of the hotel produced the largest death toll of any single act of terrorism in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_David_Hotel

So.... one of your "heroes" was behind the *biggest, most deadliest terror attack* in the history of the conflict. And that "hero" was later elected Prime Minister. Guess that means Israelis don't deserve their own country -- well according to *your* logic. Or do you have a double standard ?

And I have to ask... um.... how would you actually know what my POV is... I mean, considering that.... hmmmmm.... you joined the site 4 days ago, and have made a total of.... let's see... THREE posts (*all* in Off-Topic, and 2 in this thread.)

Ohhhhhhh I get it. You're too shy to post under your regular ID

Really. Hamas has killed 482 people with just suicide attacks. That does not count the bombs and rockets. Your article states that warning was given but not listened to. The murderous pigs called Hamas don't warn people, they do everything they can to maximise the death.

Since September 29, 2000 (source: B'Tselem, the Israeli Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories):

Palestinians killed: at least 4,437

Israelis killed: 1,030

Palestinian children killed: 971

Israeli children killed: 119

Palestinians wounded: 31,815

Israelis wounded: 6,845

Palestinian homes demolished: 4,170

Israeli homes demolished: 0

Palestinians held prisoner by Israelis: 10,756

Israelis held prisoner by Palestinians: 1

Illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian land: 223

Illegal Palestinian settlements on Israeli land: 0

Oh and I believe "warnings" have been issued by several terror groups, threatening that if their demands aren't met, then the victims deserve their fate. Not sure how many people would agree that it absolves the terrorists of any blame....

So..... what's your regular ID ?

Well, I suppose it speaks volumes about *you* -- you're the one who insinuated that not heeding their "warning" somehow excused Menachem Begin and the Irgun from being considered terrorists for bombing the King David Hotel.
