I almost had a head on wreck just now!!

It's snowing like crazy here and I was driving home. I was taking it easy and driving safe when someone in the oncoming lane spun out and crossed the center line. I had a full size pickup coming straight at me!!! Somehow, I don't know how, I managed to get out of his way. When he crossed the center he was no more than 50 feet in front of me in a driving snow. My reflexes must be better than I expected I guess. But in order to get out of his way I slammed into the curb and broke one of my wheels. No body damage thank goodness but it still hurts to see my rim busted like this. I have been looking online for a replacement but I am not sure which one I have. My car is a 2006 Mustang convertible and the wheels are factory. I think these are the machined finished with grey pockets. I found one on ebay but I want to make sure I am getting the right one before I bid.

Here is a picture of the wheel:

And here is the ebay wheel:

You think this is the same wheel?

glad you didn't wreck!! it looks the same but make sure it's 16x7. that should be on the side of your wheel in raised type.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Glad ur well!! How is thew alignment? My very first day of snow driving ever (canada) I went around a curb to fast, and smucked into the curb, enought to damage the rim and put the wheels out of alignment!! At least you don't have to face "dad" lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I surprised myself. I really thought I was a goner when I saw that truck coming at me. I honestly don't know how I missed him.

good to here you're ok gary. if the ebay wheel doesn't turn out for you. try-keystone autobody, lkq autobody(like kind quality), national autobody. (aftermarket collision parts companies). i think lkq or keystone are going to be your best bet. they have reconditioned & reman factory wheels.

As a matter of fact I just talked to Keystone. They have an original for $180.00. The Ford dealership wanted $260. I am getting dressed right now to go get it. The ebay one is probably OK but the idea of running around for a week on my spare while I am waiting isn't gonna fly. If I have another "close encounter" on the snow I am sure the spare would not give me the same performance. I will just bite the bullet and get it done today.
