Hi. I was just wondering how long it has been taking for people to receive their first notice of action. today is day # 70 since my application was received, and i have heard nothing. my check has still not cleared at this time. each time i call, the operator tells me to wait a little longer. if it passes 90 days they will do a diligent search for it.

I should have mentioned, i filed form i-130 for my foreign wife.

Has anyone else had this problem? and how long did you have to wait?

Filed mine in August, still no reciept, no check cleared, no NOA1 no nada. I dont even know which service center it is in now but it all started in Texas. It's sad but its a very long process, it even makes me feel sick to my stomacn even thinking about it. Good luck though and try to be patient.

My wait time doesn't really count because it was back in April when CSC had printing problems (has nothing to do with the receipting delays that are going on now) but it took 4 months for me to receive our one for the I130 (see signature).

Tx ours mailed to seems goes to Ca from there, who knows..Sent I130 Oct 2, 07 still no check cashed..They don't even know if it got there I guess we have to suffer even more because of that..Its a real shame they had no idea many more people would file before the rate increase, if thats really what the problem is..Lots of common sense .gov has..

Bingo!! Gonzalez, "Increasing fees will allow us to Reduce processing times for all immigration applications by an average of 20 percent by the end of FY 2009. Doh, we did not expect such an increase in petitioners with an average increase for application and petition fees of approximately 86 percent."
