So, I realize I'm super emotional right now because it's the holiday time, I've been under a lot of stress, etc. But my daughter and I went shopping at Target today, and as we walked outside an older couple said "Look in that tree!" So we look up into a tree and there is an adult bald eagle. He was just hanging out, watching everyone.

Yeah. I cried.

He was so beautiful! Pretty soon a crowd had gathered to look and it just made me feel all weepy because people were stopping, in the middle of this ridiculously busy season....to stare at an eagle and be in awe and say hello to each other....

It really was. I've never seen one that close before either. Of course, no camera with me!

I saw one soaring earlier this year--but both didn't have camera with me at the time, and not in a good position (doing about 70 along an interstate) to do so. Indeed a magnificent bird.

GEG, bald eagle's favourite food is actually fresh fish (though it's not exactly designed for CATCHING them--so next best approach, rob an osprey which caught one); were you thinking of the golden?

(F) That's awesome!

I tried to shop at my local Target around noon on Saturday and there were no bloody parking spaces! Rather than fight over one, I decided to come back at night....there was so much traffic on the roads during that day, I just went home, turned on the Christmas tree lights and listened to Nat King Cole singing Christmas songs. :)

Eagles are cool..last winter..a pair nested in the park across from my house.....

i was grateful, cause once the eaglet arrived..the pair killed and drove off all the hawks..and owls....i hope they come back next month...

alton and the area..has a large amount of eagles in the winter as this is part of the mississippi fly way for them

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Bald Eagles have been making a big comeback in Louisiana. A couple of years ago we saw a pair of adult males sharing a meal in a vacant lot in Houma. A friend and I also heard one, we never saw it, when were were canoing on the bayou about 10 miles from my apartment. Still, when I went to Kitimat in September, it was awesome to wade in the river with eagles watching us fishing for salmon. I think they were hoping for an easy meal.

All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood

In a modest town where honest people dwell
