Last Sunday, our company had it's Christmas Party at a nice restaurant in Malibu. It took Jinky and I over an hour to drive there and then 5 minutes after we arrived, the electricity went out (transformer...took out the whole block), so we all had to vacate the premise.

This last Tuesday, we had a company meeting to reschedule the party at the end of January, and they're taking us all out to lunch this coming Tuesday. Our HR/secretary handed us each a gift card to Best Buy and I thought, 'this is nice! $50 maybe?" When we got back to our desks, she sent out an email telling us they were for $250! :D

Then, yesterday, one of the co-owners of my company came to my desk and asked if he could speak to me...took me into the other owner's office where both of them sat me down, thanked me for all my contributions to company, and gave me a raise and a bonus! I was so overwhelmed, I just started crying....and apologizing for crying as I was signing my new contract.

I just look back at this year...going through an unexpected layoff the day before Jinky arrived back in March to where I am right now...and I'm so so thankful. (L)

Hope everyone here has a joyful holiday season full of good things happening. :star:
