I had more then enough income but because I'm retired on my taxes it doesn't include a retirees Social Security income as gross income. Based on that the Counselor Interviewer said I needed another sponsor. I argued this but did no good and got no response from any counselor representative. There very hard to work with and will not answer questions. Will not reply half the time. But was told at interview that If I got another sponsor that she would sign off on the Visa and we wouldn't need to go to a second interview. This we did and were finely issued the stamp in my wife's passport. I paid for her entry to USCIS an purchased airline tickets to go through Miami. Everything went smooth with immigration there and my wife is now waiting for her green card. She received her Social Security card in the mail in about a week after arriving here in Colorado. 2020-12-27

She received her Visa on Dec 8, 2018 and flew to California on Dec 30, 2018 to bring in the New Year with her husband :-) Now she's 5 months pregnant! :-)))) New Update 10/23/2018: We just received an email yesterday stipulating my wife's interview date will be on November 27th, 2018! Finally, after all this time she's going for her interview. That makes the total time from submittal to the interview 15 months and 22 days. Yahoo! :-) Update: It's 9/10/18 and all our documents have been submitted the NVC, now we're waiting for them to review all. Next step should be receiving an interview date! God willing of course. So, after almost one year our petition was approved by Homeland Security. They received my petition on 8/5/2017 and it was approved on 6/5/2018, 10 months later. I received a letter stating it was approved and is now being forwarded to the NVC. Lets see how long this takes. We just received an email this morning 8/21/18, from the NVC saying they received our approval and they gave us our NVC Case # and IID #. I went online to pay the fees for me and my wife ($445). Now it takes 2-3 days for them to process the payment before they allow you to go onto the next step. We'll keep you posted! This is a good sign :-) On Dec 8, 2018 my wife finally received her passport back with the visa stamped in it! Yahoo! The visa is a CR1 and now we are together in the Philippines for the Xmas holiday. We will return to California, USA, on Dec 30th. The new journey begins :-) 2019-06-21
