I joined the lined at 8:00 am. Finally went through security at 8:45 ( please no electronics, keys, beauty cosmetics, etc, nothing but your papers they request) then I arrived on the inside where the Security told me to join this long line where I stood for about 30 minutes. Me not knowing ( the line was for tourist and students visas only) but when I went to the window, the lady told me I was on the wrong line and needed to join the US citizens that was sitting in a waiting area. The longest part of the entire process there was waiting to be interviewed. It was a lot of Americans renewing passports and about five other persons ahead of me being interviewed for immigrant visas. I was called to a window about 10:00 am where a lady took my original birth certificate, police certificate, passport and photos and told me to have a seat until called. I was finally called to be interviewed at 11:20 am where a nice male CO asked me 4 questions the most, he was doing a lot of typing and making sure I had all documents requested. I missed 1 document from our joint sponsor, which he told me to send it through DHL and they kept my passport until the document arrives to them to process my visa. The total experience was great. Once you pray and ask God to take control of the situation, he definitely will. | 2024-05-20 |
