With the new I-129F form, you don't have to fill out a seperate G-325a anymore. It's in the new form.

Hey OP! I doubt it is the paper size that was an issue. I'm the foreign beneficiary and I did all the printing back home using A4 paper including all USCIS forms that we submitted (I-129F, G-325A and G-1145). We did not encounter any issues. If you looked through the forum, there were people who did the same and never had problems either.

In your case, it's very likely that you didn't use the latest edition form hence the RFE stating it was an outdated form.

Based on my personal experience printing preset 8.5 x 11 USCIS forms, the pages will not run even if you use A4 papers. If a form is 8 pages on 8.5 x 11, it will still come out 8 pages on A4.

If you can get ahold of 8.5 x 11 paper, just make sure you get your printing and printer settings right before printing :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

@KULtoATL I have no way of getting a different sized paper. I've look through the i-129f form and the i-129f form I downloaded directly the USCIS website and they look the exact same. The only outdated forms I can think of is the e-notification I sent, I didn't realize there was an outdated version of that. And then the g-325a but you'd think they just throw that out if they don't need it but then again I mentioned it on my cover letter so perhaps that's the problem? I'm confused because everyone else has been perfectly fine using a4 paper.

Here's the thing, if you used previous edition I-129F form, the G-325A is certainly needed.

The current I-129F (4/10/17 edition), however, does not need the G-325A as it has been incorporated into the I-129F.

Don't overthink it, just send in the current I-129F form (4/10/17 edition) and respond to the RFE quickly so it doesn't delay the processing of your case.

Download it here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

Always refer to edition date that's allowed for a form. Expiration date is for their office use.

@KULtoATL I always thought the expiration date was how you could tell what the latest edition was. My apologies. I'll get the form directly off of the uscis website and fill that out today. Does it say anywhere on the form that it's the 4/10/17 edition? So I can make sure? And do I still need to send the g-325a with that one or should I get rid of those

Go to the link I gave you. On that page, there would be a tab below saying edition date :) And when you open the PDF form, the edition date is at the bottom left.

Thank you regarding this edition date. I only look at the expiration date and never realized that there's such a thing as an edition date. The N-400 that I had had the same 3/31/19 expiration date but if I  look at the bottom left corner, it was actually an older edition. I better check the USCIS website again right before I file in a couple of months.

Thanks for the tip!

@KULtoATL I have just looked at the edition date on my I-129f form and it does say that it's the 04/10/17 edition  I don't understand what else the problem could be

This is peculiar! Someone else probably can weigh in on that. While waiting, maybe call to speak to a Tier 2 Officer to clarify?

Mind posting an image of the RFE letter? Of course with your private details removed.

@KULtoATL it is weird! My e-notification was definitely not the right one. I downloaded it off another visa website and didn't realize there was a new edition. Yes I can try to get a pic. My package was send back to my mom so I'm sending everything to her to send back to USCIS, so I will ask her for a photograph
