Probably not, it will update today, however you can fill the form but NOT submit until you are in the 90-day window. Many keep updating their information and saving it over days/weeks until they are finally ready to submit. All info entered is saved for the 30 days so you’ll be alright.

I tried logging in a couple of weeks ago, and wouldn’t let me go to the entry page as I wasn’t within the 90 day window. Is there a way to get past it?

Thanks, NikeS. Didn't realize that, so we just waited a bit and the window did open mid-day. Then we had some issues with uploading docs (system would not accept pdfs for some unknown reason, so we made everything into jpgs), but managed to submit in the end.

So this has been on my mind since I applied online a couple of weeks ago, and maybe someone here can put my mind at ease or tell me I'm screwed.

My green card anniversary is 4/3, so I became eligible to file on 1/3. And I did file online at 2:30am (Central) on 1/3. On the receipt notice it says "We received your application on 3rd January", so that's fine, but the priority date, for whatever reason, is set as the 2nd January, so the day before I became eligible. At the time I filed it was the 3rd everywhere in the US (12:30am, 1:30am, 2:30am, 3:30am), but for reasons I don't understand they used the previous day as the priority date. Obviously if they go by this priority date as the actual received date then I would be deemed ineligible, since I only became eligible on the 3rd.

I have the credit card receipt showing the charge was made on 1/3 at 2:30am, but now I'm starting to worry over the date discrepancy. I've tried searching around and even asked a couple of lawyers but this is such a new system that there isn't really much out there. All they told me was "wait to see what USCIS does".

So, any thoughts/suggestions? I mean, it's crossed my mind to withdraw and then re-apply to head the issue off (if it's an issue at all), but then I'd eat the $725 application fee...

I’d say wait it out. The computer did accept it on the 3rd so it was their error, not yours.

2. The interview/decision is made on or after your 3 yr Anniversary so you will be eligible for sure by then and that should suffice.

3. If the IO makes a case of it then I’d ask if the refiling fee can be waived and if there’s a way to fast-track everything. And ask for a supervisor to weigh in on the matter (worst case scenario).

I hope it doesn’t come to this.

You would think that, but USCIS can and do make mistakes. I certainly won't be bringing it up if the adjudicator doesn't, but I'll take a copy of the credit card receipt and email receipt showing the precise time the application was filed, and will try to plead my case then and there should it become a problem.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, I don't know.

You dont need to worry...Coz if you weren't eligible then the system shouldn't have let you file online at 1:30 AM, I did same as you...lot of people do that to get their files processed fast,

Another thing this is not I-130 that they go by Priority date, They go by the date you are eligible to file and you did on that date exactly...doesn't matter if it was 1:00 or 2:00 in morning. The important thing is the date and everyone knows that after 12:00 the day changes, you receipt date is important.

And if you weren't eligible then they would have denied your application within 24 hours of filing declining your fees. Lot of members here have done exactly same thing to save time.

So relax and wait for your Biometrics now.

Good Luck

I had the same issue too. My priority date is one day earlier than received date. I filed exactly on the first day of eligibility. I used USCIS online calculator and even verified the date with N-400 online application portal. So when I saw the issue I called customer care to figure out what is going on. Apparently, I was told that USCIS goes by received date when it comes to decision making. So relax and finish processing on your end on time.

So it looks like USCIS has officially enabled the option for N-400 online filing from their original website.

Hey....AlwaysSunny.....I would be trying to walk-in tomorrow...Can you tell me will the Appointment letter that is uploaded online in ELIS account work well..Coz I havent received actual appointment letter in mail up till now???? Also once in...do they Stamp the appointment letter confirming that you completed your Biometrics..???

Sorry for late response, but yes, both of these assumptions are correct.

How did your walk-in fingerprinting go?

I'm really impressed by my progress - I filed online on Jan 2nd, and as of Jan 16th they already scheduled my interview (but haven't uploaded the invite with the date yet...)

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to go on that day, since I was not able to get out from my job. So now I am just thinking to go on my actual date.

Its very good and quiet surprising that they scheduled your Interview within 3 weeks of filing, You are really lucky. May be this is the benefit of Online filing.

So did you got your Interview letter..????

What's the status of your online portal....??? Even you can know your Interview date by calling USCIS Customer Care number.....They will tell you your date and time as well as location.

Good Luck

It appears the online system may be experiencing some issues. For the past few hours, if I try to login to my account I just see the following:
