Can I travel with my status being only AOS, but having advance parole already

Hi, 

 

My spouse and I will be traveling to France in summer for our one year anniversary. I was previously on an F1 student visa, but dropped this status once I filed for permanent residency, and received my receipts. Now I am solely AOS. I have already received my advance parole and work authorization. Am I able to get a visa to visit France with my AOS status? Note that my passport origin is ecuador.

If you require a visa for France with your Ecuador Passport, then once you receive it you should be able to travel.

 

Having the NOA1 for AOS shows your in a legal status in the US, and the AP meaning you can leave the country and come back.

 

You should be fine.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Advance Parole facilitates entry back into the US. Check with the French embassy for eligibility to obtain Schengen visa.

Hi everyone,

 

Thank you for the responses. I am still very confused though. I have tried calling literally every French embassy in the US to ask if I can apply for their visa on AOS with AP, but NO response. I've sent emails too. I also emailed Spain and they said I cannot get a schengen visa until I have my green card. I feel like this is not true though. Anyone have experience in applying for Schengen visa on AOS? Is it possible? I would really hate to drive over 4 hours only to find out I can't even do it. :(

Expired F1 and AOS pending.. technically out of status but in a period of authorized stay. If Spain says no, I wouldn't risk France.
