Amount of time needed for a layover for K1 visa

My fiancé is flying into JFK on Thursday. His layover is 3 hours. Should that be enough time to get through the entry process and catch his flight?

Generally 3-4 hours is advised for a layover. It is seen as enough time to process immigrations and also get through security again and to next gate.

That being said, it depends on time of day and how busy it is.... it took my partner a little over 2 hours to get through immigrations in Dallas... so luckily he did not have a connecting flight...

But I would think 3 hours is reasonable....

I have also read and been advised to make sure there is a long layover in between the two flights due to the immigration process at the POE airport. I think i was also advised 3-4 hours.

no less than 3 hours , 3 - 7 hours is a good fit

I would hope 3 hours would be ok!!

My layover is 3 hrs 5 mins at the worlds busiest airport - Atlanta Airport.

I will also be 6months pregnant at the time and travelling with my 5year old child (K2) .... so for me I'm nervous but I believe 3 hours and over is good!

If it helps, I had a 2 hour layover in LAX, and was through Immigration in under 20mins

This is a nightmare. Already missed one flight due to a two hour delay from Moscow and now looking at possibly missing another. He's been waiting for almost two hours now.
