There's just no way of knowing. They may or may not combine the 2. We will never know whether it has sped up or not until we either get the interview date for 400 or 751 approval prior to that 400.

Thank you both for your kind words. Even though progress has been slow (understatement!) It has been invaluable for us all to know how the approvals have been coming in and I appreciate everyone sharing the good news when they've received it. I enjoy updating the spreadsheet because I know someone just got some news they've been waiting a long time for. All I'm doing is typing a date on a list, but I imagine the day that person must be having when they see their approval, and feel so happy for them, I can't wait to see that list completely filled in all green!

I am curious to find out if among pending June applicants, is there anyone (other than) either received RFE or has applied for N400 ?

My NOA is 07/01/16 and I have filed for N400. I am trying to figure out if anyone in June portal has applied for N400 and have gotten the approval for I-751 within the normal processing time?

For those who filled n400 jointly with a i751 and have been following my case, I got my oath letter yesterday. I feel so happy that this is almost over.

Cool, I am very happy for you. Did USCIS approve your I-751? or is it still pending? Keep us posted about your process. When is your oath and how was your N-400 interview? Regards

I assume i751 was approved because I had the n400 interview right after the i751 interview. However, on the website I still have the status from April, "dob updated". I don't think she would've had the n400 interview if we didn't pass the i751 interview first. Oath is scheduled for oct 4 and the n400 interview was fairly easy. Asked about my past addresses, jobs, trips outside us, the 6 civic questions, reading and writing and then those questions from n400, you know - have you committed any crimes bla bla. She asked if I have any more evidence that I want to submit since roc and then she gave me a slip that said that a decision cannot be made at this time. That was on aug 30. And only yesterday I got my oath letter. Overall, it was a very friendly and pleaseant experience. 

Edit to add that she asked about the taxes, so if anyone here wants to apply for citizenship, make sure you have your taxes filed.

Thanks for sharing your information. I am happy for you. I see that your local office is Honolulu; probably the wait for N400 cases is a little less than in Chicago (8-12 months). Although I am impatiently waiting for approval for my July 01 case, I would really like to see the last dozen cases from June cleared prior to me.

When should I apply for citizenship, I have not received the physical card, just the approval letter. Please someone guide on this matter please.

First of all, congratulations!!! That's awesome! 

I think at this point your best option is to wait for your new card to arrive before you apply - I think they'll expect to see the copy of your new green card in your application package, since their records will show that you're approved. 

Alternatively, if you're ready to apply now, then send it in right away, so that they might think you hadn't received the approval notice before you applied!
