Hi,

Recently I began to prepare my papers for K-1 Adjustment of Status and realised that I lost my I - 797 Form.

I scheduled Info Pass appointment and got my Alien Registration Number.

I want to send my documents without I 797 Form. Maybe someone on this forum had similar experience?

I appreciate if you could let me know how did you solve this issue?

Thank you very much.

You need to obtain a replacement. This can be done at the CBP office at the POE you used to enter the US with your K1 visa. If you are far from your POE, then contact your closest CBP office.

CBP won't be able to replace the I-129F petition approval(I-797- NOA2). USCIS can, but it will cost you over $400.

People have successfully filed without it. Send copy of your online status approval notice and NVC letter that stated your approved I-129F petition was sent to the appropriate consulate.

You can probably find even more through a search.

Please be more specific about your Form I-797, did it have a suffix at the end? Please describe the document. There are quite a few different Form I-797s.
