Janelle, last pic I saw of you, you were still black, so until that changes you'll always be part of the black community, just as I will always be part of the white community. There is good and bad in all, nonetheless we are all still part of it. I really don't get why this needs to be clarified every time someone mentions "the black community". It's like there's some kind of stigma attached to it. When I say the words "black community" I am referring to black people in general, there are no racist undertones involved. It's simply a way of describing a large group of black people.

As I said, I don't have all of the answers, but peaceful protests and getting people to come together will go a lot further in helping any cause than rioting/looting ever will.

No you shouldn't be, nor should I. When someone mentions something about white people that doesn't apply to me personally, then it simply doesn't apply. Unless someone specifically adds my name to it, then I just figure I'm not included in that particular groupof white people. I would never hold you or anyone else responsible for the actions of other people, you are your own person, just like me. I know that you and Marvin do not condone this type of behavior and I would never lump you into that group, but at the same time I have to identify the group somehow. Please don't take it personally, it's certainly not meant that way.
