How long will it take for the NVC to review my DS-260 and should we wait for a response from them before sending all the required documents?

Helo. So we just finished completing the DS-260 form online and following the instructions we received from Packet 3 that we should notify the Manila Embassy once the DS-260 was completed. Now my question is should we wait for the NVC to reply to our form before submitting all the required documents to them? It is quite confusing because after we notified the Manila Embassy they sent us an email stating that we can schedule our appointment. However, we haven't received any reply from the NVC yet. Our DS-260 form was submitted to NVC last August 5, 2014 and until now we haven't received any replies yet. How long will it take for them to reply and should we send the documents to them now without any instructions from them yet? How about the Manila Embassy saying we can schedule an appointment but also to make sure we sent the documents to NVC. Its quite confusing. Pls enlighten us with some of your expertise on this matter. Thank you very much!

Are you doing DCF or are you doing regular consular processing?

Once you have paid IV bill and submitted the DS-260, you should send all the required documents to NVC. Do not wait for any email from NVC so as not to delay your process.

You should read the link Dvman has posted above. The link will be of great help to you.

DCF in the PI ?

Sorry, once you have paid the IV Fee online and filled out the DS-260, you can self-schedule through ustraveldocs.com .

If you cannot, you should contact Manila IV via email and ask for Vice-Consul review of your file.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

~~moved to DCF from IR1/CR1 process and procedures as the OP's profile says they are doing this path and to prevent them from getting wrong information by well intended posters ;) ~~

DCF pays the interview fee at the interview. You don't pay before scheduling. You also don't send anything to nvc.

Schedule your appointment, and get the medical done.

Part of the beauty of DCF, you cut out the waiting time at USCIS and nvc.

If you have not done so, I recommend reading this thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/448070-just-filed-dcf-manila-today/?fromsearch=1 , very handy. Page 4, or 5 has a step by step guide for what to do for scheduling your interview.

Hi. Actually on that same day, August 5, I received an email from them saying I can schedule my interview already. All these time we thought we needed to wait for NVC. Our documents are ready and everything. Just have to call the hospital. Thank you very much for the information you rendered.
