I485 concurrently filed with I-130, Application type selected wrong!!

For I-485 part 2's Application type, we mistakenly selected b.

Chicago Lockbox received our I-130 and I-485 concurrently filed application last Wednesday.

Can anyone tell us which selection that we should select for I-485 part 2 Application type?

Is USCIS gonna to send a RFE or something else to deny my application?

Any helps would be greatly appreciate.

The correct option would have been

A. An immigrant petition giving me an immediately available immigrant visa number that has been approved. (Attach a copy of the approval notice, or a relative, special immigrant juvenile, or special immigrant military visa petition filed with this application that will give you an immediately available visa number, if approved.)

Not sure what USCIS will do though - I doubt they would send an RFE, it's more likely they will reject the application, send it back to you and ask you to fix the mistake and re-submit the forms.

I've called USCIS and asked them about the mistake I made.

They told me to write a letter and explain the mistake I made.

But I was wondering if USCIS would charge me again for I-485 resubmission due to Application type selection mistake?

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

More likely they will send back your app with the uncashed check and tell you to refile it.

But they already cashed both of my checks $420 for I-130 & $1070 for I-485 & fingerprint.

Is this bad news?

They probably will just correct the mistake. They can do that (how many people on this forum put "H" by mistake, for instance). Relax. If you are this paranoid now it's only going to get worse.

In that case I would assume they'd just correct it like Harpa said. Otherwise they most likely wouldn't have cashed the checks.
