We are in process of adjustment of status of k1.

Today the status say.

My request for initial evidances was mailed.

What does this mean?

You recieved an RFE, the letter they send will contain what they need from you.

They are requesting for some information, could be pictures, birth certificate, affidavit of support or anything that supposed to be included in the original package..

we've been there , you just need to pass all the documents they need and just wait. Now we are only waiting for my wife's green card ? we filled jan 2016.

We sent everything in package.

Do somtimes ask for fotos?

Medical exam we sent copie of my g3025 that doctor give me before my interview in my country. and all vaccin complet.

It's pointless to take any assumptions here, wait until you get the letter and see what they ask for.

Please help! I received an RFE saying my income was two low for 5 in the household. It's just me and my husband. My 2014 tax return (that I had to file with my ex showed our three adult kids). They are no longer my dependents. I filed my 2016 taxes which show I do not have dependents. Would that be okay to send with a letter explaining that??? I'm so worried!

You cant guess, but even if you sent it all, I've been assured a few times now that uscis can misplace your documents and send an RFE to get what was misplaced.

Common ones seem to be birth certificate or i864 documents.

As a part time conspiracy theorist part of me thinks that USCIS send out these RFE's when it's blatantly clear evidence is included for one reason only... That is to delay a certain amount of cases as they fall behind reviewing the new incoming applications. That way they don't have to work on so many all at one time. Delaying a few buys them time and once we all reply they quickly set those in motion as they are pretty much already pre approved.

Yes there are those with genuine errors, however some are contested by people on these forums who know there are no errors on their applications.

I'm hoping to hear good news by the end of June so will wait on although I will probably contact them to ensure they received my RFE at least.

I got an RFE for Initial Evidence because one of the completed forms I sent back had expired. I had to submit the same information on a new version of the form.

Good luck with contacting them to ensure that they've received your RFE. I've been trying to do that since late January, as contacting the USCIS helpline the agents keep saying "we don't have access to that kind of information". They're pretty hopeless. So much so that I've now contacted my local Congressman to see if he can help at all.

We sent in the RFE information right away but on the USCIS website it still says we were mailed an RFE. Is there any way to check to see if they received it? It sounds like calling doesn't help.

In a word, no.

I've been trying to find out if my RFE has been received by USCIS for months. I have proof from USPS that it was delivered, however, that is it. My online case status still says as per below. Numerous calls to USCIS and a Case Inquiry have not come up with any information nor change in status. I could have asked to speak with a Tier 2 officer at USCIS last time I called, but instead I decided to contact my local Congressman and see if he will intervene. Apparently when a Congressman contacts USCIS about a case they HAVE to give an answer. I can only hope that may kick start my case.
