AOS Marriage based interview - Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed

I and my husband had our interview yesterday at Bloomington Office in Minnesota.

I came to the US on F1 and have been working on H1B since then and my husband is a US citizen(not by birth).

It felt like the interview went pretty well. We compared our answers after coming back.

Besides 2 answers everything else matched.

At the end of the interview, after yes/no questions the interviewer explained the procedure about removing conditions 90 days before the expiration of temporary green card. She then said that she has some verification to run after which a decision will be mailed in 2 weeks.

When I checked the status on USCIS website it says "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"

Has anyone gone through a similar situation?

And does anyone know if they are doing on the spot approvals or rejections anymore?.

Any information will be appreciated.

The questions were related to day to day activities.

They started off by calling my husband(petitioner) first. After he came out I was called in. The office here called the spouses separately.

The office first makes to take an oath.

Then I was asked tyhe following questions;

What is your current address?.

Do you live in a house or apartment?

How many bedrooms?

How many bathrooms?

Who owns the house?
How many televisions? where are they located?

Do you share room with your husband?

Does you or him have any tattoos?

What is the size of the bed?

Color of the walls in the bedroom?

Any windows? Do the windows have blinds or curtains?

Who owns the house?

When and where did you get married?.

How did you meet?

How much time did you speak to each other before deciding to get married?.

The interview was pretty short. I would say 10 mins for me and 10 for my husband.

So the questions were basically to find out if you live together.

This was the first interview.

The office was interviewing all the couples separately instead of bringing them together.

So I think the procedure was standard for all.

Being interviewed separately is a stokes interview. Its not typical or standard and is only done when they are unsure if your marriage is bonafide or if there were any red flags. I hope this link clarifies the reason you were interviewed separately.

This was our first interview so I am not sure why they separated us.

They were doing the same for all the couples at the office.

Wonder why they did that.

We were not video taped and the questions asked were not more than 10-15.

Me and my husband were in the bloomington office yesterday too for our AOS interview, and we were not separated. I did notice that quite a few couples were being separated but we were not. We did have a technical issue with my vaccine record, (an issue with the paper work on their end, not mine but we still got an RFE). The officer told me that all we have to do is get the civil surgeon to mark off the form and we have the green card, baring any further complications with the paper work. The only questions I got asked was my husbands date of birth. The interviewer didn't even ask for any photos or anything that shared our life together, even though I came overly prepared with like 7 folders of stuff, (2 from the paper work we had previously filled out, two filled with engagement/wedding cards, one with all the cards he has sent me and I him, one with our joint bank account etc information and a photo album). I did ask her before we left if she wanted to see the photo album. She did look at it and take some of the photos, as well as the thank you card we sent his family for the presents for the wedding and the save the date for the church wedding we are having in Ireland. She finished by saying that she is sorry for the reason that we got the RFE as it wasn't our fault, and that we clearly have a great marriage, and that once I send in the documents needed that we should be issued our green card barring any complications. I don't know if that helps or not, just my experience.

This, plus not everyone on here who has a stokes interview has been videotaped. Sometimes if they just suspect one aspect of your evidence they will focus on that, such as questions to tell if you actually living together.

Since July, but we had lived together in Ireland for a year before getting engaged.
