but Cairo embassy start scheduling for October so we hope to get it soon

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this: I noticed that there were 3 nas on the ceac website on Aug 17th (mind you, I don't check everyday), and when I called the next day, he said it was complete but that their still processing some stuff. I got a letter on Aug 21st saying that the case is complete and to wait for an interview date.

When I called for an update yesterday, the lady told me there was some error on my file and that she was trying to figure it out and put me on hold for a really long time. She returned and said that there's some 'administrative processing' that they are doing before I can get an interview even though I got a case complete interview. She was dodging all my questions and to be honest, it sounded like she had no idea what she was talking about.

I called back today to see what my actual case complete date was (since the letter comes out later) and she said she doesn't actually see that my case is complete and put me on hold to see if there's anything in my file that's missing.

She told me if I got the letter to hang tight but something feels fishy about this.

Anyone going through this right now ? I don't want to wait and wait and wait for an interview that's not coming bc of some glitch in the system

I wouldn't go with the false alarm thing on this one. I posted something about this a while back to some else. I was told CC on the 5th and low and behold they came up with a load of bs about the case. I was told complete several times and then all of the sudden it wasn't complete. Lost 3 weeks and spoke to a supervisor after specialists started in on the waiting bs talk. You should call back to ask for supervisor and get it complete. I have 2 letters both saying that my case was complete. Just saying what happened to us.

Priority date definitely matters. The top person in spread sheet got the interview same day as CC. But if you look at their profile, they started their procedure way too early.

What does someones PD in the Netherlands got to do with any other embassy> Their embassy isn't that busy so when scheduling starts they get assigned. For embassies like that its that simple. There's always going to be people who get assigned soon as scheduling starts for many embassies that just aren't that busy. There PD had nothing to do with it.

Since I just received news that I have an appointment an hour ago over the phone, how long should I wait for the "official" email and for things to change on CEAC? Thank you

Looks like most getting P4 letter within 48 hours. As far as ceac changing maybe in a few days they will mail out or next week.

Has anyone used the online request and it worked lately?

My interview date is the 21st of September and everyone else is interviewing 22nd- onward.

Not always..

Priority dates can matter (yes, even for IR\CR1s). First, applicants must have case complete.. which gets them in the queue for an interview to be scheduled. Once several are in line for an interview, PDs become a subset that may come into play.

Of course, as with everything else, there are always exceptions. Those with quick interviews after cc can thank their lucky stars, while others with a long time since cc somehow end up with a long-ish wait.

You seem to've had a fairly fast process, consider yourself lucky.

The online request to get the transcript online is not applicable. It has been down a long time due to the irs system being compromised. However, you make the request online for the transcript to come by mail. I requested one a while back and it arrived very quickly. Not instant like the online service that they did have, but quick enough.
