Why can't they just be honest and say six? But, in USCIS lingo, it is what it is. Still, we are getting closer, some people were looking at 9-12 months.

Seems a lack of activity this week. Do they tend to send out approvals in one big lot? There are 3 guys on the facebook vj site all late October at VSC. Hoping to hear they hear something before April is out.

I don't know what's going on exactly, but every time I see a new update from an expedite my aggravation level and blood pressure go up a bit. Especially when it seems like more countries are qualifying for this status. And then today I noticed a December NOA1 received NOA2. I've never been one to begrudge the good fortune of others, but when the expedient good fortune of others seems to be coming at the expense of and delay for my wife and I and the rest of the "normal" November filers, I can't help but get a little bit resentful. I've been combing through the data here the last few days like a detective trying to solve the zodiac homicides and I have noticed a fairly decent amount of people updating their timelines who had NOA1 from June through October. Hopefully my earlier theory of USCIS cleaning up the remaining cases is at least somewhat true and they can begin approvals again in volume really soon.

I swear this process is going to take several years off my life in addition to the time wasted and thousands spent.

Amen to that! I keep regretting not having my hubby come down to Mexico and renewing his mexican permanent residence card... then we would have done DCF at Mexico city and we would be in the US by now...

Separate topic... what noticed too is that people that file from abroad (when USC is abroad that is) everything seems to go faster for them... ugh... and ugh again... This whole waiting game is starting to get on my nerves...

I hope we can start getting november approvals ASAP!

Here is the response my congressman's staffer got from the VSC:

"On November 12, 2013, your constituent filed a Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition with U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your constituent’s Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition is currently pending processing with the Vermont Service Center (VSC).

The VSC is currently processing Form I-130 Immediate Relative petitions 6 months from date of receipt (5 months processing + 1 month buffer). Your constituent’s Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition is within 30 days of the processing times.

Thank you,"

So when they say "5 months" apparently that means 6, since they get one extra month to do anything. I swear that they're just making this sh!t up. What a worthless and talentless group of people.

It's not like we're riding on a taxpayer jolly, we fund uscis directly. Expedite unless a matter of life or death or military anger me. There is untold stress and financial hardship put upon all during this process.

Great work Dude, my phone added the wrong post. Good to know. Let's hope it's true. Would you mind if I shared that with the facebook group?

it's on uscis website : "To allow time for mailing and processing your decision, please wait an additional 30 days beyond normal processing times before inquiring about your case. "

Just been reading about a 15 day approval, not expedite. That's lovely for them but it's a bloody terrible insult to people waiting months.
