Sure you can. Free speech. We do not have to listen. We can choose to accept Obama as one of the "minuses" and realize he is a temporary occupant of the White House. I am pro-choice. There is nothing we can do to change it now until he leaves office. I choose to stay most of the time but I can spend my summers in Ukraine.

YOU can choose to accept the US gun laws as one of the minuses also and stay here. What you cannot do is change it and take away rights.

Because it is a right and not subject to opinion. Rights are intended to protect what is NOT popular. We did not pass a civil rights act to protect white people. We do not recognize the rights of Gay/Lesbians because most people are Gay/Lesbian. We do not need the 1st amendment to protect the New York Times, we need it to protect Larry Flynt. We do not need freedom of religion to protect Catholicism, we need it to protect Islam, Scientology, and Unitarianism.

I am disappointed that an American cannot answer a simple question about the importance of our freedoms to a foreigner better than to say "Most people want it but they cannot get it passed". Doesn't say much fr our schools.

Someone who used to post here, part of this group, actually said they he wished that he could decide who could live in the country. Then he said it wold be a super cool paradise of cool people. This was his fantasy, like "I just WISH I could decide who lives here!"

I had a similar fantasy about my middle school when I was a preteen, before my brain was fully developed. "Middle school is hard! Imagine how awesome it would be if only my friends were here!" Angst.

Americans. NRA members, of which I have been a life member involved in legislative issues for nearly 40 years. WE. Me and my posse, are not going to let pansies who cannot answer questions about US freedoms take them awy from US.

You are wrong. Read article 5 of the U.S. Constitution. An amendment could be made to change or nullify the 2nd Amendment.
