I've been wondering the same thing...I haven't heard of any approvals from NBC for I-485s. Have you thought about contacting your congressperson/representative yet? We are considering it but were waiting for the 6 month mark to pass.

So if August was when petitions stopped being transferred to CSC ...has NBC been working on any I485? Because it seems like the only ones that have been approved since August are the lucky one's who are transferred to a local office for an interview

I know... I'm being too impatient, but I don't understand why it takes so long when we have already been through all the background checks and interview with the k1 process

I have high hopes for something to happen this month. The processing timeframe for my local office in Kansas City will be moved to September 11th, 2013 and I applied September 3rd, hopefully my application gets processed. Crossing my fingers.

Me 2! We are in KC with an NOA1 date of 9/6 so i'm keeping my fingers crossed we will hear something. I will give it another couple of weeks before contacting my congressman since there are still lots of August filers at NBC that haven't been approved.

Still waiting... Still Stuck in the Mud at NBC.... We hit the 6 month a few days ago.... Tried to do an INFOPASS and the website stated that we were within the time limits. Wait... like everyone else... If nothing happens by our 7.5 month, I will get on the horn! The lucky ones are the ones scheduled for an interview. So far, they are approved on the spot and earlier than everyone at NBC.

Based on the above timelines, I believe applications for Kansas City are taking these days a little over 7 months. That puts us at around mid April before we get those green cards. We're probably gonna hear from them soon...cross fingers..

I sent a letter to my local congressman today. It's been 6 months and a half and as much as I want to believe I'll get the green card next month I want to increase my chances. I don't wanna be one of those people who take a year to get theirs.

Let me know what you hear back from your congressman. I called to put in a service request last week and they would not do it - said I was still within normal processing time

I just got a call from my congressman. He is still in the process of submitting a query to USCIS but wanted to let me know that federal budget cuts have impacted some USCIS applications, but that he was going to find out the status of my application anyway.

For one thing, there are a lot more people waiting for their results that have submitted their application way before you. If you have not kept up with the current issues, there are government cutbacks, furloughs are coming, that is, government workers are going to be working 4 days out of the week until September. Money is very tight now at the government level, no one wants to spend money. All you are going to get is the normal, wait until they get to you... and can take up to a year.... Best to just kick back and enjoy life, enjoy the time that you have together, and don't pay attention to the wait, because, like all of us.... We have to wait.... and again, later when removing conditions and that can also take about a year..

I submitted my paperwork before you and I have friends that have submitted theirs before me and they are still waiting... Congressman ain't going to do much for you....

I'll be hitting the 6 month mark in a couple of days, and although I am patient, like all of us on this board, and can't wait to take a breather from the USCIS, I'm also looking forward to receiving my GC.

Totally agree. Just because someone has been waiting longer doesn't mean someone else can't ask about why their case is taking so long. We've all been waiting too long at this point

Isn't USCIS self-funded by the fees it charges? Makes you wonder just how much it will be affected by any budget cuts or if it is just a convenient excuse to delay more cases...

On another note, it always makes me happy to see the Sept thread updated. Good luck to us all!

Today is 203 days since package was sent / 6 months and 23 days

Today is 197 days since NOA1 / 6 months and 17 days

Today is 170 days since Biometrics / 5 months and 20 days

Still..... counting..... Hope to see some folks get their approvals this month or at least in April.... Let's all hope for the best....

When I called 2 weeks ago - I was told they were still processing August and that I was not out of normal processing times but I wasn't told what normal processing time is - just that I could not do a service request yet. Unfortunately I called from work and could not spend a lot of time on my phone call
