is it not possible for you to just move to where your husband is? if it has been years maybe that's the best choice. then after awhile maybe you can do a DCF.

i know that if i had that many problems with this process, and if it took over a year, i would have moved to him. then gotten a visa for that country instead of him coming here.

I second this. It sounds like your situation in the U.S. isn't that great anyway. If I were in your situation I'd be hopping a plane and moving over there to be with him. Maybe give it some thought, and then in the future direct consular filing (DCF) might be a good option for you two. Then at least during the waiting process you'd be able to be together.

If you think you should file 'writ of mandamus', then by all means, file one.

Search for member 'gogo' here - read all of his prior posts, find his 'telephone/address book', and use it.

DO NOT contact member 'gogo', he's busy with his wife now, in USA -

but -

His was a longish battle, with all sorts of silliness, foolishness at every step, and in the end -

HE WON.

thank you everyone but i really can't move there . i see my doctors three times a week and if i move there that means i have to drive back and forth three time a week ( four hours to get there ) this would kill me and also i am not supposed to drive for more than 30 min a day . one time they got me on tape ( insurance company ) carrying two bags of fruit and i almost lost my case and this is why i need the surgeries in my lower back and neck . medical is very bad in mexico and i can't risk my life just to move there , i could end up losing my case which means i will lose my surgeries . i appreciate all the comments and the help

I understand how you feel. I am almost in the same boat here. You know my story right? My I-130 is not approved yet, which was filed on Dec. 2006.

OMG, this is horrible :( . I wonder how things like this happen? It could be anyone on this boat. And not to address it right away when the waiting time has been so ridiculous long is almost abusive. My thoughts are with you guys

NOA2:02/12/2010 (3 months from NOA1)

NVC received:02/23/2010

Received DS-3032/I-864 Bill:02/23/2010

received IV bill:03/30/2010

Interview date:JULY 2, 2010 (consul said my husband was approved):)

Extra steps: Turns out in Juarez they do not tell you the final result of interview on the spot, you have to wait to receive a DHL package that contains the verdict and passport hopefully. Even though my husband was "approved" during interview (per consul answer) he was placed in Administrative Review on JUly 6 according to consulate operator.

Placed on AR post interview:07/06/2010

Picked up Blue slip AR (they kept his passport):7/09/2010

Visa issued: 09/15/2010

I was in AP for 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days

Completed my journey in 10 months, 2 weeks and 2 days
