What if my husband could not recall his ex wives date of birth can we leave it blank or is he really need to write that one? Hopefully this will be our second time to file. There is a question on the form "have you ever filed a petition for this and if yes give name, place and date of filling and result?" ------ "Due to unfortunate problems we canceled out the appointments" Would this be enough reason? Another thing i dont think my husband could recall the day we filed the papers and me either but that was around feb 2007, is feb 2007 ok? But we got the receipt or the approval notice. Really need help for this one. Thanks in advance!!!

There is no K3 anymore and when it comes to straight forward questions like the above there is no "enough". There's only the answer to the question. They aren't asking for an excuse, just an answer.

If he has no documentation about the exact date answer the best you can. Approximate birth date 15th Oct 1970 or something to that effect. Get as close as you can.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

"Have you ever before filed a petition for this or any other alien?

If "Yes," give name, place and date of filing and result."

Is the name for the beneficiary which it was me?

Is the place mean to be where we filed or sent out the papers before?

Could be the month and year are acceptable because we both could not recall the exact date?

Sorry but we are just really confused what to write on it.Hope anyone could help us.

The above is on track. If you have the priority date, use that. It's when they received it, so close to when you mailed it. Even just the year would be close enough though. You also need to provide a "result".

Not both because what happened we cancelled out the appointment so have not showed up in the said appointments.

So, was the petition approved and send to the Consulate? Then you didn't go to the interview? Which petition was filed? Did you file both an I-130 AND I-129F.
