Our form I-765 version was 12/26/19. We sent a check for $1,225 USD. AOS package (filed concurrently) sent at 5:30 PM Thu 08/20/2020 through Fedex with package tracking to Dearborn address. Package signed for and received on 08/25/2020 at 10:37 AM It says on the USCIS case tracker for the I-485 that the fingerprint fee was accepted on 09/11/2020 Check cashed as of 8:15 AM 9/15/2020 Text notifications received 5:21 PM 9/16/2020, three texts came through, each showing three different receipt numbers for each application. All three numbers were similar in structure except for the last digit of each number, which followed each other receipt number in order. (for example, 12345, 12346, 12347.) We did not receive any notification emails. It says on the USCIS case tracker for the EAD and AP that if we do not receive our notice by 09/24/2020, to contact them. USPS informed delivery email showed three USCIS envelopes coming soon, email received on 09/24/2020 at 8:13 AM. We checked the mail on the night of 09/26/2020 and found all three NOAs. None were rejected, no RFEs received yet. Received an email from informed delivery showing the biometrics notice coming soon on 10/23/2020 Received biometrics appointment notice in the mail on 10/24/2020 around 5 PM. The date of the appointment is Tuesday, 11/10/2020 at 12:00 PM at the USCIS application support center in Riverside, CA (La Sierra Address). Only for I-485 and I-765. Notice date: 10/17/2020. At biometrics appointment, beneficiary wife needed a mask, her passport, appointment notice, questionnaire sheet mailed to us with the appointment notice filled out in black pen, and our marriage certificate. She brought her stuff in a black backpack which wasn’t checked or questioned by security. Beneficiary wife alone got in line at 11:53 AM. There was a pretty long line. People were distanced in line with cross markings on the floor outside. People were let inside one at a time. Everyone had blue medical masks, large majority were worn properly. Beneficiary wife wore a half mask particulate respirator and non-vented goggles. Upon entering, they gave her a ticket number and asked what kind of mask was on beneficiary wife’s face. She said it was a respirator. They said they needed to go check if she’s allowed in with it. About 3 minutes later, they came back and told her to put a regular mask on under the respirator and offered her one. She had one in her backpack and went outside away from people to put hers on and came back, and was allowed inside with the respirator and regular blue mask on. The goggles weren’t questioned and were fine by them. They told her to sit down in a room with a max occupancy of ~25 people, chairs were spaced about 6 feet apart. Waited 5 minutes for number to be called. Was directed to a different room with the same setup along with other people. Waited there for ~30 minutes. Employee called number to look at forms and returned them, shortly after, number was called again and another employee took her to the front of the room with the camera and fingerprint setup. Employee instructed her to stand in front of the camera while wife gave her the appointment notice and questionnaire sheet, employee asked about wife’s name change, wife provided marriage certificate and that was good enough. Employee entered data into system. Employee asked her to remove mask and goggles and look at camera, wife was allowed to hold her stuff during the photo, employee was 6 feet away and behind a plastic shield during photo. Photo took 5 seconds, then wife could put her mask and goggles back on. Employee ordered wife to use hand sanitizer, and moved the plastic screen between them, wiped fingerprint scanner down, then employee grabbed her hands and scanned each finger into digital scanner, then wife was given the receipt and told her that she could pick her backpack up and go home! She exited through the back door around 12:58 PM. Overall, a positive experience. All employees were polite. At some point, our online case status updated to “Request for Initial Evidence Was Sentâ€. On 11/16/2020 at 10:26 AM we received an email from USPS informed delivery that showed a picture of our RFIE in the mail. We received it later that same day. It is only regarding the I-485. It’s only requesting the I-944 with supporting documents. It’s dated 11/12/2020, and says it’s due in 87 days. We sent off response to RFIE for I-944 on Saturday 01/16/2021 to the Chipman Rd. address via FedEx with tracking around 3 PM. Package arrived at Lees Summit, MO on 01/21/2021 at 10:23 AM (not sure which time zone, this is what the FedEx tracking website shows). Checked the USCIS website at 10:42 AM on 01/24/2021 and the I-485 case status has updated to: “ Response To USCIS’ Request For Evidence Was Receivedâ€. It says they received it on January 22, 2021. Upon checking the I-485 case status on 2/11/2021 around 10 PM, the status has changed to “Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview†and it says that as of February 2, 2021, they are ready to schedule the I-145 for an interview. Received USPS informed delivery email showing a letter from the DHS at 11:32 AM on 08/09/2021. Received interview notice letter via mail on 08/09/2021, the interview is set for 09/09/2021 at 8:05 AM. Upon checking the case status online today (08/09/2021) it says “Interview Was Scheduled†“On August 4, 2021â€, which is also the notice date on our interview letter. | 2021-09-17 |
