I travelled into London Waterloo on the 9:15 train from Basingstoke for my Monday appointment - I would be arriving in London just after 10am so was allowed to purchase a cheaper off-peak ticket. Once at Waterloo there were overground trains every few minutes to Vauxhall from Platforms 1-4 - only a few minutes ride away. Once at Vauxhall Station I flagged down a taxi cab and quickly arrived in front of the Embassy building.
I turned up to the South Pavilion of the embassy building at 10:45am for my 11:30am appointment and was allowed straight through. I was required to show my DS-160 printout at this first outdoor checkpoint along with my passport and appointment confirmation printout. Staff were quick and professional at checking my documents whilst they dealt with a very confused older woman who was blocking the way for everyone and didn't know why she was there. There are many armed guards around the outside of the building, which may be scary for young children or an... read complete review

Our interview time was at 11:30AM on July 11th,2019. My fiancee hadn't submitted a request for me to be present and submitted the request (email I think) a day before the interview. We presented the paper to the lady outside along with our passports and she included my name for person to be allowed in as a petitioner. They let us in around 11:10AM.
We were called within 5-10 minutes and the lady asked for all the required docs (passport, affidavit of support, employment letter etc.). We were assigned a number and asked to wait for interview. It took almost 60-80 minutes of waiting, and our number was called. The lady interviewing hardly asked any questions other than if I was the petitioner and couple of background questions to my fiancee. She has that she had reviewed the case before and we're approved and should receive the passport in a week. The interview was less than 5 minutes and we were on the way out. In short, nothing exciting other than getting approv... read complete review

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can relay a similar experience either in London or somewhere else. I had my O3 visa (spouse of a current O2 visa holder) interview 2 days ago and all-in-all it was okay.
It went well in the fact I had all my required documents and nothing tricky to explain was raised. The first officer asked for my DS-160, visa photo and my wife's I-797 form - she put this into a folder and said give this to the next officer. Although not a requirement, she did ask for a copy of my wife's visa which I did not have but she was happy with the I-797.
After a 20 minute wait, I was called to the second officer who asked about my wife's job, how long we had been married (only 10 days) and again, if I had a copy of her visa. I explained I did not but on the I-797 my wife received a recent extension to her visa until 2021. After explaining she did her interview in Australia and that is the only visa verification document I have for her,... read complete review

The interview took 15 minutes. The consulate asked extremely simple questions. We got the approval the same day, the visa arrived in the post a week later.
