I read from another thread that it's: EXP ## MONth(day & the first 3 letters of month NVC sent your petition to Juarez) 2011A. So since NVC told you they shipped it June 6, your reference # is EXP 06 JUN 2011A. You just have to go through all the petitions sent from NVC that day and search for a Juarez one.
No, the number you got on your NVC letter is your case number.
ALSO, CALL NVC and ask for:
    1. Beneficiary number
    2. invoice number
*you will need these #s (along with the CDJ############ on you NVC letter) to fill in form DS-260.

I think it sounds like enough since you have a joint rental agreement, & beneficiary on insurance...heck, that's a lot!!! Print out fotos that you do have & make a statement saying your comunication is in person not email & phone since you wake up and say good morning, buenas dias in person each day!!!

you can schedule your interview online before you have packet 3 and I think a few here on VJ did it over the phone too without packet 3.. just make sure you schedule it far enough in advance to allow time for packet 3 to reach you before the interview date

nikolacolada got a reaction from KayDeeCee in it is safe??? (Juarez - travel)
This is not a helpful answer because Ciudad Juarez is only one place in a very large country, just because she is from Mexico does not mean she "knows the ropes" in that city... I know that my fiance and I are very worried to go there, he is from Mexico, his whole family is from Mexico, his friends are from Mexico and NONE of them would ever feel safe going there considering the problems it's facing with the drug war.. Just because they are from Mexico doesn't mean they know the ropes..
Anyway to answer the OP's question, she'll probably be fine. I've been reading a lot of reviews from people who have gone and it seems like the area around the consulate is relatively safe. She should take precautions, only go out during day light, stay in the consulate area, don't go wondering around the city.. that type of thing and she should be fine. She only has to be there for a couple of days.

What are you insinuating about the December K1 Filers at CSC? That they're doing ours and stopped working on Dec I-130s? If so, I would appreciate you not use the Dec K1's as an excuse for your waiting pains. TWO DIFFERENT CATAGORIES. That's like saying, the Dec B1/B2 Filer's are getting approved and they stopped working on the Dec IR1/ CR1's... blah blah" Nonsense.
Are you aware of the November 2010 transfer of 36,000 cases of immediate family petitions (IR-1/CR1) that were transfered from CSC to TSC and then some back to CSC in Feb 2011? Those filers were from LAST SUMMER: June, July and August IR1/ CR-1's 2010 --- some of them waited over 6-7 mos for their NOA2. That backlog seems to be catching up now and you should be glad you didn't file in those months; your wait would be much worse than it is today! Ask any of them what it was like.
    Need Reference?

That's where the backlog is and what got your group stopped up. Not us. Further, you should be happy for anyone who gets an approval and congratulate, instead of a seemingly negative nancy attitude towards our group specifically as you pointed out, because you do not have yours...YET!
By the way, we have many K1's still waiting, just like you. Doesn't matter to us whether they be from VSC or CSC, they're still Dec K1's. Everybody waits. USCIS says their goal time is 5+ mos and that is not a promise, it's an estimate.
When you do get yours, you will see many people from the VJ Family congratulate you and it won't matter which category or service center they come from either.
So take it easy and hang in there!!
IT IS COMING and PROBABLY RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!
    Good Luck,
    Mari

Aw so cool!! We sent out "save the month" cards because we still don't have a date yet lol. But it was exciting just to send them. It finally feels like some day it will finally happen and there will be a wedding we're going to e worrying about instead if a visa :-p

You will probably get more and/or better feedback if you aren't so vague. No doubt things will be different. What did you see here? Like? Not like? What are you comparing things to (where in Central Europe)? Etc.

" Why'd he stay there on a tourist visa, did his parents originally come here with them?
The post says his parents brought him here when he was 15. He stayed because his family was here ?
they've stayed here forever since then and just expect to be granted citizenship since they've lived here most of their lives, especially if they had the visa from a young age. If that was the case with so many of undocumented citizens I would've just had my meghan stay over here with me after her visa expired and just got a lawyer to work some magic. I hate being away from her for so long.
Different scenario for a child to be brought here by parents while still a minor vs an adult bringing someone here with the intent to immigrate and evading immigration law. I am sure he is not thrilled his parents put him in an untenable situation.
People's identities get stolen a lot by undocumented aliens and that's how they're able to live and work over here without a hassle. Usually the identity that gets stolen is from a dead child who never got to live a life past the age of 3. -Travis
Travis, try not to read so much of Sherrif Joes hype. Identities are most often stolen by a family member because someone has bad credit. "

Your post is very informative, but I do have to disagree with this portion of it.
Living here in Mexico I can personally attest to the fact that the situation is NOT deteriorating throughout the entire country and there are MANY safe areas in Mexico. I think its ridiculous that they don't move the process to a safer city since there are many of them in the country. But I have to agree with what someone else wrote, the consulate in Juarez is newer, they probably don't want to shut it down since they just spent money building it.
I know there is nothing that can be done about it so we're just going to bite the bullet. It doesn't mean it's right though.
