  1. How did the USMNT do in Copa America, on home soil? 😗
  2. And the DNC effort to get Dr.Oz the nomination, instead of someone sane and reasonable, with a less creepy smile, was intense. If he was prepared to donate to ActBlue, one of the largest funding sources for DNC candidates, I am willing to wager that he would have no compunction registering R to mess with the GOP primary.
  3. So, Sean O’Brien, president of the Teamsters Union, was a platform speaker at the Republican National Convention. Could the DNC be losing a part of the union vote? Could the unions of the working class people, the manufacturing and transportation industries, be realising that the Democrat Party does not have their best interests at heart?
  4. And finally, RFK jr gets Secret Service protection. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2024/07/15/trump-shooting-rfk-to-secret-service-protection.html Better late than never.
  5. I was rooting for Tulsi Gabbard, if only for the “messing with Sasquatch” factor for the VP debate 😆
  6. For a start, I believe the Posse Comitatus Act provides that action by any regular military forces on US soil is strictly forbidden without the express approval of Congress, so that order would constitute a knowing breach of Presidential authority and therefore be an illegal order. And inciting a private citizen to carry out an assassination attempt by political rhetoric doesn’t pass the “official” act test, so a fail on that one, too. In addition, the fake outrage over the presidential immunity ruling is simply more far-left mis- and disinformation, designed to scare the voting public into believing that it gives the President carte blanche to do whatever they want without fear of recourse, when all it does is codify what was inherently understood for the past 250 years, before Biden’s DOJ tried turning the country into a banana republic with their lawfare against a political rival. It’s just nonsense.
  7. He will have a hard time not vacating the case entirely. The number of holes in the case make Swiss cheese look solid, he knows the likelihood of it getting overturned on appeal is high and this gives him the opportunity to back out of his miss without looking like too much of a prat.
  8. But only one person said “It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye” and that was Joe Biden. That’s where the buck stops.
  9. I think the clue is that he was 20 when he died, so his 18th birthday was prior to July 13th, 2022. 😉
  10. He was 20 years old, registered as Republican aged 18, so the timing still fits. Plus, Pennsylvania was one state where the DNC pulled out the stops to make sure Dr.Oz ended up as the GOP senatorial candidate and give Fetterman the best chance of winning.
  11. I’m surprised they haven’t jumped on the “registered Republican” yet, despite his known donation to ActBlue. Maybe they’ve figured out that he only registered Republican as a tactical measure to mess with the 2022 GOP primary?
  12. And Luke Shaw in for Kieran Trippier is the one change on the team sheet!
  13. Joe Biden: “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye.” https://www.notus.org/republicans/republicans-joe-biden-bulls-eye-comment Waiting for the Palin-esque outrage at the incitement to political violence advocated by Good Ol’ Joe 😡
  14. If they want to keep their jobs come January, it will happen.
  15. Swap Trippier for Shaw. Keep the rest. if it’s going pear-shaped, substitute earlier.
  16. Perhaps the DOJ and FBI will now admit that right wing extremists are not the most likely domestic terror threat in this country.
  17. Still in the initial investigation stages, but currently … Shots were fired at President Trump Trump sustained what looks like a minor injury Two other rally attendees were shot One has been reported as deceased The shooter has reportedly been neutralised by law enforcement Secret Service claimed shooter is down There are pictures of a body on a roof.
  18. And now we will see how many people descend into instant judgement on political news items. 🙁 The number of WaPo commenters who are confident the Trump rally incident was staged, that no-one else was hurt, is insane. The derangement is beyond belief.
  19. We need to go back to the separation of news and opinion. We need to go back to the reporting of what has happened and what is happening and away from the what “might happen if” ramblings. We need to go back to getting the reporting done right, with facts and testimony to support it, rather than getting the reporting done first and let the facts wander along later. We need to stop thinking that late night comedians are reliable news sources. Most of all, as all of the above is as likely to happen as a Hillary Clinton presidency, we need to stop listening to one side of the story.
  20. Although the tackle didn’t affect the shot that Kane got away, it was high, studs-up and made contact, so I think the decision was the correct one. Regardless of the penalty, Simons’ first goal was fantastic, and Watkins’ last minute winner was almost as good. Sunday will be a fascinating contest. Spain will be the overwhelming favourites. But anyone who saw their match against France will know they faded badly in the second half, so this could be a lot tighter than people think, especially with England’s habit of leaving it as late as humanly possible to score. Should be fun.
  21. Why is the Catholic clergy targeted, when teachers seem to have minimal scrutiny? Priests don’t have unions.
  22. The closer we get to Kamala Harris getting the keys to the White House, the more I wish DJT would bring Tulsi Gabbard onto his team to remind people exactly why she got less than 1% support in the 2020 Democrat Primary race before she withdrew. it was evident from the start that she was the DNC’s preferred pick for 2020 and they have done everything they can to get their DEI-friendly pick into the Oval Office any which way they can. She would make a senile, frail and failing Joe Biden look competent. The USA would not survive a President Harris.
  23. And yet there is no outrage from the gun legislation lobby. It’s just business as usual, nothing to see here. It’s not the existing gun legislation failing to protect the citizenry. It’s just another holiday weekend in Chicago. The silence is deafening. Because they (the Democrat mayor, council and the gun legislation lobby) know that they do not want to address the root causes of the ongoing violence. To do so would cost them politically, in resistance from the populace to change, in the resistance to the populace to reducing/removing the social and welfare programs that have rendered employment income unnecessary and in the acknowledgement that additional firearm legislation is merely a dog-whistle for getting votes and would have no measurable impact on the death toll. In short, they would lose control. They would lose power. And that, to them, is unconscionable.
  24. Remember, “fair share” when it comes to taxation only applies to the wealthy (basically anyone who pays over the lowest tax bracket). How is it “fair” to demand anyone who doesn’t currently pay income tax to actually contribute to the system from which they benefit so much? 😗
