Markieboy got a reaction from JimyAnita in HOW TO TRACK YOUR CASE FROM NVC TO EMBASSY
Umm, sure there is! You call NVC.
Applicant: I'm calling to find out the latest update on our case.
Operator: Your case was completed and was sent to the Embassy.
Applicant: Can you please tell me what date it was sent?
Operator: Your case was sent on Wednesday, March 16th.
Applicant: Okay, thank you very much!
There is no assumption about it. Applicants can request the latest information from an NVC operator, which includes the date their case was sent to the Embassy. No, you don't have an actual tracking number. But you don't need one. You use the art of communication and the gift of common sense.
Just because you were unsuccessful with it doesn't mean others will be. Maybe you didn't do it correctly. Many others have had success with it, including myself. And yes, it does make us happy!

If you feel so strongly about this, I would bring your concerns to USCIS. Call them and ask to speak to an adjudicator. Let him/her know what they are doing is UNACCEPTABLE. See if this helps or hurts your case.
Everyone on here goes through a long and trying process. What makes your case more important than others? There are some cases whose petition has been pending more than a year! It hasn't even been 6 months since your NOA1, which IS still within normal processing time.
    Patience is a virtue.

Ok, how about this- if the most difficult part of your process is waiting, just thank God you have an easy consulate. If you don't want to wait, move there. That's what I did. You gotta problem, you fix it. If it's so terrible to wait some months for a visa, take a leave of absence and go. I'm not rich and I did it after I filed, just so I wouldn't have to come on here and ###### and complain.
Come on here and complain about getting denied. Complain about them losing your paperwork or mistreating you at an interview. Don't complain about the processing time that you KNEW you'd have to wait through when you filed. This board has been taken over by this mess, and it gets old.

Being logical and being realistic are not always the same. Logically, it makes sense to address the problem (ie USCIS) instead of venting on a forum. Realistically, USCIS seems understaffed with their employees. Each adjudicator receives a certain number of cases a day. They must carefully review each case before approval. How many cases does an adjudicator approve daily? I haven't the foggiest. The number of cases that are approved daily, more than likely, does not match the number of cases they receive daily. Unlike passport processing, which already establishes the applicant IS a U.S. citizen, USCIS processing scrutinizes applicants from all countries and nationalities. So, realistically, approvals take several months.
I understand the process is flawed, but then again, no system is perfect. We are all human, and we have limitations. Again, if you decide to be the "squeaky wheel," feel free to call USCIS with your concerns.

    Hello everyone!
I have seen many members here copy and paste timelines on their post, rather than their signature. Other members would comment and instruct them how to create and edit their signatures.
I thought it would be appropriate to make a tutorial video for new members to VisaJourney. I have learned much from many on this forum, and I would like to give back.
I hope this tutorial is useful to our members here.

National Benefits Center is a service center located in Missouri.
It's normal, don't worry. Chicago is where you send your documents initially. It is then forwarded to its proper service center.

I doubt it. Filipinos, in general, are very sensitive...especially to foreigners trying to intimidate them. It is understandable due to the years of occupation and oppression from the Spanish, the Japanese and the Americans.
Punching someone, in the manner he described, would likely result in a stabbing or shooting. People can easily disappear in the smaller barangays.
My advice is definitely keep a low profile, especially in the provinces. An arrogant and cocky American doesn't impress the oldschool folk.

Markieboy got a reaction from Darnell in USPS is Stupid
One problem with USPS Express Mail is that signature confirmation is included. This poses a problem if the addressee is a post office box. USCIS, like many other offices, will only check their P.O. box once daily.
So, if your mail is delivered after USCIS checked their box, it will not be marked as delivered, but rather notice left. The system isn't perfect...but what system is?
