  1. The I-864A is a very simple form as opposed to the I-864. The instructions are quite clear. And it's merely 3 pages. Which portion are you having trouble with?

Remember, the USC petitioner will file a I-864 regardless of income. If your joint sponsor lives in the same household as the petitioner, then they will use I-864A. If they live in a separate residence, then they will fill in another I-864.

For your joint sponsor you will need proof of their citizenship/residency. For household member, you will need proof of relationship and same household/residence.

Hi. Thanks for the respond. 1-864A

    Part 2 : #14 Sponsor's signature and on Part 3: #16 Household member's signature.

Does my brother(1-864) needs also to sign as a sponsor on # 14 of his wife's 1-864A or these two signatures is referring to household? But why sponsors sign. and on the other part household member's signature?

  2. Hi Mrs Faith & Danilou et, al, here is what we recieved from DOS section IV of the Manila Consulate, please keep in mind Mrs Faith that the DCF procedures and going through NVC is differant, (we) do not send in DS-230II, we carry it to the interview filled up and unsigned, following the instruction not to write below this line.

Good luck to you in trying to contact the consulate through the phone but I tell you, you will probably get a faster, clearer responce by sending them an e-mail -

Oh ok so u got the email respond already.Good that it is already clear now and no need for you to send both parts to make sure. No, we did not call them anymore bcoz we got the NOA2 and will have to wait for packet 3 hoping next week...My husband just thought of calling them since after approval notice from email we havent got anything yet from them but thank God it arrived already friday afternoon....

  3. Hiya Danilou, I understand that the I-130 was accepted but that is not the Department of State, there is another thread here on VJ where the applicant recieved an RFE for filling up the current form, although it was another country, did you inquire with them ? did they say anything about the missing DS-230 part II ? I think we are going to play it safe and submit both forms with an explination, have't heard back with an e-mail but if we do we will share it with you :)

Hey Tommy and Rizza, I have read a case here on VJ i think last week , they got an RFE for not sending the part 2. I noticed with those who sends their DS230, I think they send all part 1 and 2 but they only sign the part 1 and then the part 2 the consul will let the benificiary swear and then sign the part 2...But to make sure yes call them, me and my husband tried to call the 301-2000 then press 7 then loc 2224# then a voice of a filipina answered although sounds sleepy coz it was like past 2 pm :bonk:

  4. Mrs. Wife: Did you file DCF? Because I have to have residence in Brazil to file DCF...that's why I kinda thing I should put my Brazilian address as opposed to the US address.

Trailmix: no worries about domicile issues. I have already covered that in another post and thread and think I am more than covered!

So which address for Question 39?

Hi .I have a friend here in VJ who filed DCF last year and already got approved Dec 2009. She also asked that question last year her name here is babypatz you can look her post and it was also answered. She put on DS-230 #39 question Name and Address of petitioner (that's her USC husband) the address where they are now presently residing in the PI because there is no DCF in the USA. She is now in the USA with her husband. So i think if you are still residing there in Brazil you put your Brazil address, but if you want more answers you can ask more VJ members here so you won't worry :) Hope that helps...

  5. YAY :dance::dance::dance::dance: next your going to get in the mail your NO2 you can call for your case number and assemble your own packet 3 we are going to call monday !! :star:

:lol::lol: So we got to wait first for my NOA2 letter before my husband called them even they already emailed also my approval? Hey, how did you call thru yahoo messenger and to confirm is it $18 (800 pesos plus)per minute to call them USE Manila? When does the meter starts...LOL once it rings or after it was answered? Do they let you wait for a couples of minutes to know what is your concern coz that would cost lots of thousand pesos...LOL

  6. Hi everybody! Finally I got approved! Glory to God Jesus! This was their email,In response to your inquiry, the petition was approved on 12APR10. Contact the Immigrant Visa Section in regards to visa processing.:thumbs:

What's next? Call and ask for case # and the website where can download the form? For some i knew here they waited for their case # and packet 3. But i knew one he waited for 1 month and he received nothing for his wife as his beneficiary and so he called the USE Manila and he was told to download it..hmmmmmmm... :D

  7. We are almost sure yours is approve already too, ours was approve a week already and we just sent an e-mail to inquire today good luck :)

Thanks Tommy and Rizza! Yes my husband sent them an email today haven't got a respond yet. Still waiting. The last time we sent them an email was March 25 and they said it was for adjudication. We got the respond to that right away after my husband sent the email, but today they seems too busy hehehe haven't got any unlike the last time they responded same day as when my husband sent them email

    .......

  8. In response to reference (a), the petition was approved on 31MAR10. The U.S. Consulate, which is part of the Department of State, will contact the beneficiary and give instructions about getting a visa. Questions about getting a visa should be made to the Immigrant Visa Section, U.S. Embassy, Manila

Thank You sweet God in heaven :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Congrats Tommy and Rizza!!!!!!!!!!! Hoping and praying we get approval notice this week also!!!! God is good all the time

  9. Just attach a letter when you submit the DS-230 explaining why the addresses are different. If they have a problem with it, the worst they will do is tell you to fill out a new DS-230 with the old address (though I think this is highly unlikely). You won't get denied for this! You might also post something in the PI regional forum and ask if anyone else has ever had to change their address after the initial petition approval, and what they did. :)

Thank you very much ok I will try to post also on PI discussion....

  10. The petition is still being reviewed by our immigration officer.

We sent in our I-130 in January it is now April isn't this an unusually long time to wait for a approval for a petition ?

Yeah all we got to do is to wait patiently hayysss....Hopefully after this holy week ...

How about u guys here, any progress about ur 1-130?

  11. I would put down where you will be living when you get there. I would also make a point of mentioning the discrepancy at the interview, and draw attention to the reason why there is a different address on the DS-230. Things happen, circumstances change. Be clear about why. You have nothing to hide! :)

Ok thank you a lot for that advise...Just want to be careful on the information that I will provide although my 1-130 haven't got approved yet but we have to get ready for the correct info to fill up.. Thought if place of domicile would not match up in the form of DS-230 might caused a problem because they also approved the DS-230 after submitting it to them right?

  12. As Zen Den said above, you can change the address through them, but I wouldn't bother. I assume his mom will still be able to forward you guys the mail that comes in right? Does his mom live close to where you two will be living? If she does, then I would just keep everything there. But if she lives far and it'd be a pain to get the stuff, then go ahead and change the address.

On the DS-230 it asks for the address that the two of you will be living at in the US and that you want the SScard to go too. That address can be different than his moms address and THAT'S where you'd put the new address.

    Good luck!

Oh and PS. I put my BRAZILIAN address as my address on the I-130......I was approved as well, but that's not the say you were wrong.

Thank you guys...So u mean that it would be fine to change the place of our domicile? On 1-130 the place of domicile we use is his mom's US address and now that we can live in an apartment just beside the house of his mom thats what the address we want to use now. Just thinking that the immigration officer might get confused about changing Domicile address....

  13. When we filed 1-130 we use the house address of my USC husband's Mom. But now that his brother is offering his mobile house for rent in the USA, we accepted it. My question is, once i got the approval notice for my 1-130, the DS-230 will be the next form to fill up, can we now use the new address of the house where we are going to rent instead of his mom's address. Will it get complicated because on 1-130 it was his mom's US address that we used and now we decided to just live in an apartment which address is different? Pls help

Any ideas/suggestion will be greatly appreciated... :)

  14. well i suppose it can be considered another stall tatic, they are having a staff turnover, staff trainings, building a new building that will house the consular offices so are they waiting on backround files hmmmm dunno, however they also have access to NBI national database :crying:

I have read on their website they make a background check for USC they call it Adam's Walsh check i don't know if i spell it right but it is the beneficiary they make lots of background checking according to some expertise here..They said that the petition is in the adjudication officer and for adjudication... :bonk:

  15. If you have not received a notice of approval, it means that the petition is still pending. It is pending because USCIS Manila is still waiting for the results of the records checks. If the petition is still pending and has not been approved, the Immigrant Section will have no record of the petition because there is no approved petition to be forwarded to that section. Once the petition is approved, the approved petition will be forwarded to the Immigrant Visa Section for visa processing. Remember, USCIS Manila only processes and adjudicates Form I-130 petition while the Immigrant Visa Section processes the visa application, upon receipt of the approved petition.

    still waiting grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ! :angry::wacko::angry::wacko::angry:

    Very well explained

Thought what they meant the petition was still on their tray and lined up.( Anyway US governement are not like PI government) But glad to know with their respond atleast we know papers is there.I got curious,i have read here on VJ saying that adjudicating officers/consuls have access on the computer in the USA like when for background checking even they do have in the PI and just takes 1 click right on their own seats to know what they want to know about the background checks. Got curious also how do they background check the beneficiary...

  16. hi, i'm an american living in the philippines with my wife. friday i have a hearing for me getting my permanent resident visa (13A). anyone been through this before? what should i expect? thank you :)

Hi jswalker. Yes, my husband attended a hearing after we applied for his 13a visa year 2009. Now he has an ACR card under probationary. What did the attorney told you after the hearing? Usually they will advised you to wait or follow up for your application of 13a. By the way did you already applied for a DCF? When we went there we were told that if USC do not have a LPR status and lives here in the PI for a long time atleast show proof of your residency like house lease contract or joint bank account....

  17. Ok I have something to ask if anyone can help because this is really confusing. So let me start by saying my filipina wife already has a passport and it shows her old maiden name on it but for her to renew it with my surname then she has to have CFO. Now from what I have read here is that most filipinas will get the CFO after they already pass interview or get visa but what about before interview can you get that? Or does my wife even have to renew her passport yet or can it wait until after interview to get that. The only reason Im thinking she needs to renew her passport now is because NVC requires you to send a xerox copy of her passport but what would they say if it shows her maiden name on it still or does she really need to renew it with my surname before NVC?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated! Thanks,

    Jers

Hi. I renewed my passport from my single name to my married name and I was not required by the DFA Manila to get CFO certificate. That was last year of November....

  18. Just wondering if USCIS is involved when doing DCF. I mean like doing K3,CR1/IR1 , USCIS and NVC are involved in processing the petitions. Why USE Manila was telling to fax the whole docs of 1-130 for DCF in the US? 1-130 was followed up after 6 weeks and that was the advised from USE Manila ...Are there some changes going on processing DCF ?
