  1. I just reviewed my DS-230 for my fiancee (now WIFE!!!) and that was left BLANK. We used a slightly older version of the DS 230 (5-31-2011). I believe the space is for anyone else (like a child etc.) who will be going with you. Your hubby doesn't count in this case.

Thanks for the respond...i am really confused what to put ..i ready 3 extra pages for this with answer Travelling with my husband (USC name), None and my USC husband name only.. really dont know bcoz the word they used is Accompanying not immigrating ...hmmmmm which is which now? My husband will fly with me not immigrate with me :bonk:

  2. My husband will wait till i get my visa and we will fly together. So in DS-230, question 31a asks for the 'Person(s) named in 14 and 29 who will accompany you to the United States now, Do I have to put my husband's name since we will fly together? We don't have children and I'm using DS-230 of 02-29-2012 version of the form..Pls help we have to submit this asap..thanks a lot :help:

  3. You dont need the bar coded cover sheet. As long as you have the case number, just send the DS230(wih unsigned part 2) and DS 2001 to this address:

    Consular Section

    Immigrant VISA Unit

    American Embassy Manila

    1201 Roxas Boulevard

    0930 Ermita, Manila

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Danilou. Ok so for DS230:

-Personal cover sheet for DS230 from me or my husband the petitioner stating that is for his wife?

-DS 230 part 1 signed and aprt 2 unsign

    - 3 Visa photographs

    - DS 2001 signed

    Do I missed something? thanks

  4. Thanks Tommy and Rizza! We already checked that website and on USCIS forms also but it wasn't there...We tried to search also on google but it seems like it was all different versions and year based on which country...It is much better on their trusted website like what you and trailmix suggested but we did not found it there DS-2001 formerly OF-169 or DS-169....

  5. We were advised that we may download the forms for packet 3. Pls help we need to pass this on monday. Got frustrated because if we did not push them and follow up where does my packet 3 goes, they will not send another. They said they mail another set today. But we just decided to just download or else will wait again for nothing. Did not know if the PI mail lost it or they really forgot to send a set of packet 3 for me. Been 20 days since we got the NOA2 it was stamped Apr 16 as it showned on the envelope and got it Apr 22 (the NOA2). They were telling that packet 3 was send Apr 13! How was that happened, they send the packet 3 first and then NOA2. It seems they didn know what they are talkin about. We know it was a filipino clerks who are answering inquiries. Imagine my husband filed it Jan 2010 and its already 4 months now.

We already found the DS-230 part 1 and 2. How about for DS-2001 which is Notification of Applicant Readiness, where can we download it? Can't find it on USE Manila website. Anybody knows the exact website? Pls help ..thanks a lot..

  6. For those who filed DCF thru Manila Embassy, how soon after the the form DS 230 and DS2001 is received by the embassy do they schedule the interview? Does it take longer than a month?

Hi Danilou. I have a couple friends who also file DCF , i think it took only like 1 week for them after she passed the packet and received the packet 4. I read from here that it also depends on the consul if not loaded

  7. what is your brother's 'status' in the usa ?

did he become a naturalized citizen,

    or

does he hold valid green card, as a permanent resident ?

Thanks for your respond Darnell. That I have to know from him. All I know is he is working as a supervisor in a good company in Ca and file his joint taxes with his wife who is i think already US citizen because all I know is that his wife was there since 8 yrs old. I will clarify if he has a GC and get back to you thanks...

  8. We are now in the middle of processing my 1-130 (DCF)in USE Manila so we need to know and clarify about this things. I have a co-sponsor and that is my brother who lives and works in CA. His status in states is Immigrant for like 20 years. He just visits here in the Philippines every once a year and come back to the states. My question is:

    1. Can he be my co-sponsor for 1-864 because we did not reach the required poverty guideline.

2.If yes, then his status that he has to check on 1-864 is A lawful permanent resident or US National? Pls help we need to clarify this as early as we can..

    Thanks a lot....

  9. YAY :dance::dance::dance::dance: next your going to get in the mail your NO2 you can call for your case number and assemble your own packet 3 we are going to call monday !! :star:

Haven't got the packet 3 yet since we last received the NOA2  It's been 13 days after that.....

We tried to call the USE Manila and all they said was call the Immigrant IV unit...my husband just asked if he can get the case number but was endorsed to an automatic machine on how to call via pldt or call center. And then we found where can send an email to the Immigrant section on their website and we will wait and see what will be their respond to that. Case number was required there and we just put haven't got yet case number and was able to send after that...hmmmmmmmm Oh Lord God Jesus guide those packet 3 on way here to us :D

  10. I am the USC sponsoring my wife and will have my mother be the joint sponsor. Do we both fill out the I-864a if we are living in the same residence or does she fill out the 864a and we both fill out the 864?

Also, I am in the US but not living in the same residence as my mother. So if we were to have our residence at her house when we both come to the US would I need to have some proof of my living there besides her saying that we will be living there i.e. bank account statements, license etc? I am wondering if we should just do the I-864 and have it so that we are not in the same household since all of my stuff has a different address at this point.

Hi you will have to fill out 1-864 and then your mom will fill up 1-864A because she is your household member...My brother lives in CA and not my husband's household thats why he will fill up 1-864 and his wife 1-864A .You can also ask and confirm VJ members if you want lots of ideas..Hope that helps!

  11. The I-864A is a contract b/w the household member and the sponsor (whether joint or primary).

Part 2 will be signed by your brother who is the joint sponsor.

And part 3 will be signed by his wife, HIS household member.

This form is basically a promise/contract between the two of them and they both sign saying that they understand the responsibilities/liabilities involved in it.

    Hope this helps!

Ok, thanks a lot! That really helps...
