Hi, when we filed ours, we didnt even notarized it, our contract was usually every 4 to 6 months but we did always pay the landlord in advance. We just submitted a copy of our lease contract with his signature and the landlord then after we got married both of our signatures were on the contract.
Goodluck to you and hope that helped.
Thanks teena and joe! Ready to file hopefully on monday because my bc and mc will get the red ribbon done on friday...
-
Getting ready to file hopefully by next week. They want my USC husband to prove his permanent residency here int eh PI since his ACR card is on probationary. By the way, what does permanent residency means , is that having ACR card with PR status or just a consistent living here in the PI..

Does someone has an idea if house lease contract can be red ribboned since it was not notarized by the landlord which happened to be our relative thats why we did not formalized everything that time we started to moved in the apartment of 2008 and contract will end oct 2010 (2 yrs contract). But to make sure , our landlord made an affidavit of the landlord recently before he go to abroad to prove that we really live together in the house....
Any idea..pls help...

Usually the NBI/Police clearance etc is required at the NVC stage,,, With DCF I think the NVC is not responsible for collecting documentation,,, it will be required to be collected at the consulate. Since, the clearance is good for a year and the cost is minimal, might want to just sent in one with the I-130. It is likely,,, that they will not ask for it a second time. Since, everything you give them becomes part of your package.
Just a thought,
Thanks douglasfiel for the respond! Yes that would be also a good idea. And i also got a message just this morning from a DFC filer that she submitted NBI and PC after their 1-130 got approved.

We were given a list of requirements to accomplish for filing DCF(1-130) but why NBI is not listed there? Is it needed only on the final interview or really have to get one to submit with the 1-130 ? Pls help lil confuse
-
We only have 2 copies of MC and BC and some supporting docs with the 1-130 and G32A. One set all original as our file copy and the other set is for the USE Manila. Do we need 4 sets?
As from a friend's advise that was just got approved DCF she said Red ribbon is authentication. here can get it in DFA Manila 100 pesos per docs. But according to the other one couples their MC and BC do not have red ribbon. The window 35 check and compare to the original that you have when personally go there and they stamped it as authenticated. We just want to get it red ribboned to make sure but i think without is also fine bcoz Bill's wife got approved without it. He is a permanent resident here for almost 2 yrs. Do we really need to submit NBI, why it was not listed on the list of rqmts they gave us yesterday. I a lil confused about that.....
Hey tommy and rizza, to add more, we will also get a barangay clearance and a residence certificate in our area to show we live in one address and we will include the christmas card we got this christmas from relative abroad...

yes Mrs Faith we are doing the same sending in a notorized affidavit from our landlord stating we have both lived here since may 09, along with copied pages of my passport and lease contract
Ok so your house lease contract was not also notarized like ours and so you guys supported it also with a sworn affidavit of the landlord. I hope they will accept our docs..so when you guys will file it? I will have to get my NBI this week and get my MC ,BC red ribboned all together and request a bank certificate.I requested another set of my BC and our MC to serve as our original copy bcoz we produce 2 sets of copies...and ready to go!

His passport stamps showing when he entered the PI should be a big help, especially if he never exited the PI.
Thanks for the respond sjr09! Yeah he never exited the PI since we got married we were together for 1 yr and 3 months up to this present time. Are we going to xerox each page of his US passport even the pages without stamp for them to see the whole pages that never really exited or only those pages with stamps during his extensions visa since he came here? How about our un-notarized house lease contract with supporting sworn affidavit of the landlord,is it still a good idea to show it to them?

Just got home from the USE Manila with my husband. We personally inquire about filing DCF/1-130. On window 35 a lil old nice guy told us that my USC husband's ACR card should be on permanent residency.
I told him my husband is here for 1 yr and 3 months but applied ACR/legal residency after 6 months we got married so it shows on the ACR that my husband is here for only a couple of months and he said thats ok and accepted as long as we can show joint ownership like lease contract or joint bank account that will show he was here for the whole last year... We have a joint bank account that was recently opened october 2009 after my husband got his ACR card bcoz bank wont allow USC to open a bank account without ACR. We have a lease contract but it was not notarized by the landlord bcoz he happened to be my uncle so we did not formalized it, so what we did is he wrote a sworn affidavit as landlord testifying that we live in his apartment together as a supporting doc to the un-notarized house lease contract. Can we also show every pages of his passport that has a stamped of extension visa? Some help us and give ideas about this?

Hi E&J here in the Philippines yopu cannot get a bank account unless you are a permanent resident with a acr-i card, it's not a law but required by most all Philippine banks
Yeah ur right! Me and my husband's joint bank acount was just recently opened last october 2009 after he got his ACR card and yes they asked for it! Dont know if that would be a good idea to include it on our 1-130 as joint ownership bcoz it was jst opened 3 months ago. What do you think guys?

was just looking for a clear answer to my question not some automated responce, the people that answer e-mails are not even in manila
Goodluck to all of us!
Tom and rizza, why dont you just call them more faster respond? We are going to the USE Manila first week of January to personally inquire and get all the complete rqmts to make sure nothing have change on DCF filing...
-
Does this will caused a problem? When we applied for my husband's ACR card on the BI Manila and I applied for my married passport , we put our address like this : 156 Intersection St., Sta Maria 1, Dasmarinas City and we did not include the word Apartment B. We live in an apartment house A and B. And on the house lease contract it says we live in Apartment B of 156 Intersection St., Sta Maria 1, Dasmarinas City. Does this will have a problem? Is this will be a big issue with the USE Manila?

Hi, I am going to file early next year too but i heard that the rules have changed and DCF regulations are totally different now? Does anybody know more about this?
Thanks
Nieske
You got it right tommy and rizza. Yes, even me i have read that when the USC consistently staying here in the PI for 6 mos and above , USC can file DCF...My husband has an ACR card under probationary period and i even emailed them saying he was here for 1 year and a month and responded that my husband can file 1-130 in the USE more faster processing.
Anyway, i sent them another email today and will wait for the respond.

HEY Mrs Faith we wanted to apply this December but it looks like we will have all in order in January so we're in !
Hi Tommy and Riza! Yes same here ..that was our plan before but running out of time for some of the rqmts to accomplish so we have decided more better to file by next year January 2010! What are those rqmts you are still accomplishing? Mine have to go to dfa and have our MC and BC red ribboned. How about yours?
Hey Mrs. Faith we also have planned to get that in 2010 but i have something to ask about the Red Ribbon MC or BC in DFA. So what are some requirements for that when U want to get one? Bcoz i have a friend Pinay and she was already in USA just last july this year and she got through process the CR1 visa type.. She advised me to get MC which has red ribbon but the BC is only authenticated from NSO. So lil doubt as of now. And since our MC with my husband will release this Jan. 2010, i married here in Pi and plan also for that.
Hi roshijerz. You just have to bring you MC and BC to the DFA and get it red ribboned. You can get it after 3 days. It cost 100 pesos per document. I already inquired the last time i went there when get my passport. I have to request another set of MC and BC as my original copy because we will submit the one set of original copy to them.
So is this the only things I need to submit in DFA? But i have already my passport and expired 2013 the only thing I will do is to change my status since my passport is My family name and not my husband surename.. But anyways I will get that BC and MC red ribbon next month. thanks!
Oo yep! Yun lang daw according sa kanila nag inquire ako. Yes go and inquire about your passport change of lastname. me, after new year vacation nila!

No ID the affidavite is only secondary evidence. Just print out the affidavit and let them fill it out. Just keep the affidavit to one page, just the basic facts. I did mine with the template affidavit I gave you.
Ok thanks a lot sjr09....thought needed some Valid ID's from them...Is it ok if the affidavits are all printed and not handwritten but it is all signed by them and notarized properly? Would that be a problem?
