Is there a reason he can not use Executive Action to secure the Border?

You need to fly to Mexico and sneak across the border and enter the US illegally to be illegible for Obama's, new plan
The Preznit does not reward people who follow the rules

Is it any more ridiculous than breaking into another country, uninvited, demand health insurance, food stamps, driver's licenses and legal status?

The topic immigration is NOT at all complicated. Not even a little. The point is that if you were not born in the USA and you are not legally authorized to be in the USA, THEN, you need to go HOME; willingly or unwillingly. You don't don't get to stay because we are a nation of laws. We WILL close our borders and send you home!
    That's how complicated it is.

There are a number of problems with this....
First, the cliché that all illegals must toil in "the field" with bleeding fingers is not only way over used, it's also pretty naïve. I'm not sure what part of the country you live, but I work in an area were illegals have good work, decent pay, comfortable housing, send their children to schools, and use the hospitals. Heck, most of them are already voting. And some are standing in front of the Whitehouse demanding more rights! All along the Arizona and Texas border I see this every day. We just had a local tax increase pass in order to fund over crowding problems in the schools due to the illegals flooding in. So please don't pretend to tell me what I see and experience every single day myself and use the whole "illegals in shadows" cliché. It's annoying and insulting.
Second, my wife comes from one of your so called "$hitholes." Her family is extremely poor and they lacked sufficient food, housing and medical care most of their lives. I now do all that I can and I've changed their living circumstances as best as possible, but the whole family would love to live in the USA in a heartbeat. But that doesn't mean they would choose to be criminals if they had the choice to be here illegally. They may be poor and live a very hard life, but they have self respect and do not take hand outs or believe it's ok to resort to criminal behavior to improve their circumstances.
So please, set down that cup of Koolaid they serving you and realize Obama doesn't give a hoot about the illegals as people. It's all about the votes. Nothing more. I have more than a few friends now that are "illegal" and they are doing okay. But they are not stupid. They know they are seen as potential votes. And they know enough to use that power to get what they want.
It fries my bacon when those of us that wait in line to do what's right and follow the law are told to shush up because the illegals have it so hard and need our sympathy. That's BS. And even though I am actually in favor of some form of amnesty (we need to get these folks paying taxes for the services they are already consuming), the government should fix the broken legal immigration system first before giving away a pathway to those that chose to be here illegally.

There's no political benefit to helping legal immigrants. However, generating a loyal group of voters out of thin air, well that's hard to beat.

I have nothing against illegal immigrants as people, some close family friends came to the USA illegally. Their life improved a ton and i can't blame them for coming. My problem is that our very own government is more concerned with helping illegal immigrants than legal immigrants.

Yes, it is hard to keep up with the news in the US from the third world country where I'm waiting, jobless but united with my wife, for her immigrant visa. Internet is expensive and very very slow, and CNN doesn't cover everything.

Maybe it has to do with people having to apply for a visa and do the waiting game (time is worth something). There's also already a legal process to immigrate. We just seem to always go through this so called "amnesty" process every few decades? Do we do this again in 30 years? The blame is always on the US, but none of the blame goes to the family that broke the law. When US citizens/legal residents feel they have less rights than someone here illegal, you bet people will say something about it and why not. Is there no sympathy for this group of folks who follow the rules?

Why not immigrate for free? Why wait in line at all? Why am I separated from my husband for over 2 years with this stupid process while others are living in the U.S. with their family and getting free visas with no work?
    It's focking B....S.

I think GWB was a terrible President, but I don't think anything he did was done with malice towards our country.

Regarding the OP, at least IMO every year I care less and less. By the time i'm 60 I'm sure I'll just change the channel if I see anything regarding Israel or Gaza.

    No.
You can pursue a waiver in the US in advance of his interview in Mexico. His returning after already being deported will have more severe consequences.

He doesn't live in the US. He doesn't have US "domicile." He doesn't have a US job.
No family reunification. No visa. There is no way to twist it to make you get one. What you want is totally against the purpose of the visa. Sorry.

    ditto
your stepfather is your sponsor and petitioner, plus if your mom will be filing for divorce, the petition would be voided, since he wouldn't be your stepfather anymore
is he going to move back to the US? the reason for a petition is for family reunification. that you and your mom come to live with him in the US
