there is a problem inherent in this statement. a contradiction in ideal. a president of a country which is based upon the principle of the separation of church and state does not have the privilege to serve his own personal religious ideals with political action. he is bound by the duty of his position to represent the country he leads, and espouse the ideals it stands for. in my opinion, his comment indicates that he is not aware of his violation of the limitations of the role.
to put it in simple terms, he takes it upon himself to speak for me, and my country, and serves only himself. i will correct him.
