jamster reacted to Tahoma in Petitions Of Brothers, Sisters and Adult Children to be Eliminated
I see you're still trying to ignore what you said and, instead, you're resorting to an ad hominem attack. Those are both signs of a failed argument. Of course, you still haven't explained how a President can be a "deciding factor" of whether a bill becomes law despite the fact that Congress is the deciding factor on whether a bill even ends up on the President's desk.
As painful as it is for you, a trip down memory lane is what you need:
Here's what Jhonster said.
Here are your exact words where you mistakenly defended your beloved ("corrupt lawyer" ) Republican buddies with your "Why the big hate on Republicans?" question, pretending that they had nothing to do with the China trade agreement passing the House and the Senate. You do remember asking the question, don't you?
You asked the question and you got the answer: there is no "big hate on Republicans" because it's a simple fact that the deciding factor in the China trade bill and the NAFTA bill passing both houses of Congress was because of mostly Republican support.

It's Bush Jr. who took down the economy. Did you miss that chapter? Jeez.

You don't have any more to say about it because you've backed yourself into a corner and now you've reduced yourself to spouting nonsense. You're pretending that a bill can get to the President's desk without majority support from the House. Next, I suppose you will be telling us that a bill can land on the President's desk without majority support in the Senate.
You're also pretending that they are all lawyers. Of course, you didn't bother to find out if they were all lawyers because you were desperate to change the subject at any cost. Of course you are wrong about that too, but that's no surprise.
What is particularly funny about your twisted logic is that, in your earlier post, you were defending Republicans from the "big hate," yet now you are calling them all "corrupt lawyers"! Priceless!!!

^^^ You can try to change the subject all you want, but it doesn't work with me. Your points still have nothing to do with the fact that Republicans were the majority supporter of those laws, just like jhonster said. You do understand what "majority" means, don't you?

Apparently you missed the part where jhonster said it was "mostly Republicans." He was correct. Nice try though.

^^^ You're confusing "facts" with "hate."
The "facts" about the China vote:
The House:
Yea: 164 Republicans / 73 Democrats
Nay: 57 Republicans / 138 Democrats
The Senate:
Yea: 46 Republicans / 37 Democrats
Nay: 8 Republicans / 7 Democrats
The "facts" about the NAFTA vote:
The House:
Aye: 132 Republicans / 102 Democrats
Nay: 43 Republicans / 156 Democrats
The Senate:
Aye: 34 Republicans / 27 Democrats
Nay: 10 Republicans / 28 Democrats
Don't you just hate those pesky facts...

^^^ You got that right!
Here in Seattle, it's common knowledge that Microsoft has been lobbying hard for an increase in work visas...and we all know why.
^^^ Yup...George Bush was the best President since Herbert Hoover!
Oops, wait a minute...

I find it puzzling and alarming that you seem to be about to marry someone you apparently don't know at all. Nor seem to care too much about finding out about, since you're seeking answers from an anonymous online forum instead of having these discussions with her, your supposed partner in life. YOU don't want her to work, how does SHE feel about that? Your attitude about what housewives do seems quite dismissive. Not sure of your insinuation of women just spending the man's money either.
Are you one of those ones that a few months from now will be back here posting your sob story about how she used you just to get a green card?
Sorry, had to ask. Doesn't seem like there's much "partnership" going on in this relationship, but I could be wrong.

Really? A real response?
"Have her do this..." "Have her do that..."
I must have missed the part where you recommended that he ask his fiancée what she wants to do.

"Honey, now that we've been engaged for quite a while, and we've been through this long the visa process, and you're leaving everything behind and flying halfway around the world to marry me and live in this foreign land, what do you want to do with your life?

Wow. This is a person that you're talking about, a thinking, feeling human being, an adult, your equal. You seem to have confused her for a pet? Is this a real post or a troll?!?

Nope, they do not represent gun owners. They represent gun manufacturers. That is who pays their bills.

jamster reacted to Mr. Big Dog in 4 firefighters shot, 2 dead, after responding to blaze
Well, if that someone was prohibited by law from having firearms, then I would think that a lawful owner of firearms that the person shares a residence with should make damn sure that no access to these firearms is possible. The "responsible gun owner" failed miserably on that end and 20 children didn't make it past their 6th and 7th birthdays and 6 educators were snuffed out because of that lawful gun owner who fell short in her responsibility. The legal term I would apply is accessory to a mass homicide.

That means these firearms were less secure than they needed to be, doesn't it? As for the 11 year old kid in Utah - what part of parents bearing responsibility for the actions of their children is so hard to understand? What is it with right wingers talking a good game on personal responsibility but always declining to ever take any? Walk the talk.
