himher got a reaction from Jane Huang in Anyone refused entry under one year on greencard
I don't think even that is enough. We go to great pains to maintain residency / residence in the US that other couples who work overseas wouldnt dream of doing. At the end of the day, the card can be taken anytime.
The worst thing that can happen is that we have to start over. Either way, we will just do our best and if the card ends up being taken we will repat somewhere else. We would rather have no card and an intact family then live apart just to maintain the card. Our marriage, after all, was not "just for a green card" and the green card is less important to us than the marriage.
Best to all of you,
D&N

"Huge Arsenal"
Reported for misleading thread title
Kid's holding a plastic toy gun. We would all be in jail if that was a crime.
Find something newsworthy next time. This was just a really, really disturbed kid that got tossed to the basement so his mom could enjoy her alimony in peace.

The fact that people (my ex-husband being one of them) say that there are no jobs out there is a load of rubbish. My husband arrived here in June of 2008 right at the beginning of the economy falling to pieces. He was able to get a job in a matter of months. Something he wanted to do? No...but he took it and was grateful for the opportunity. When we went back to the UK, we heard the same thing...no jobs, no jobs, no jobs....he got a job in less than a month. A good job, making good money. We just got back to the US November 1st....and guess who had started a new job on December 2? Yes, my husband. My hard working, blue collar husband. Nope, he doesn't have a masters degree, but he is willing to take a job and do it to support his family. Is he hoping for something he likes better to come along? Of course, he wouldn't be human if that were the case. But until then, he gets up at 4 every morning and goes to work at a job that is paying the bills. He's my hero

Wow, who would have thought A&E would have tweaked so many noses here by allowing the consumer and "The American way" to prevail?
Take it easy people, the Gay Lobby won't make this mistake again.
They will go back to the more effective strategy of targeting advertisers directly and leave networks alone.
The reason I delight in all this is the long-view I take. Sure Lefties get to decide what the codes of speech are and who has transgressed them but eventually, the tide will turn and thankfully at that point the same iron fist will be returned without the hinderance of those old notions of free speech, thought, expression and all that.
Now I know some of you went on the record on how this would unfold and now you feel foolish..... don't let it bother you, even Danno at one time had to learn how to read the stitches on a fast-ball. It doesn't happen over night.
Take this and learn from it or... you are doomed to keep getting it wrong, take yourself out of the picture, THAT is why so many of you get it wrong so often.

Just finished my taxes. Got hit with the AMT this year. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to contribute to your family. Thought that money was gonna be squandered on crack, free phones, and cigarettes.

himher got a reaction from luckytxn in Only 3 Students Scored College-Ready in Camden, NJ
All Chris Christie proved was that spending excessive amounts of money on groups who do not care about themselves, their families, or their communities does not make a single bit of difference to their outcome.
http://articles.philly.com/2011-05-21/news/29568835_1_comparative-spending-guide-pupil-districts
On spending per student:
Coming in at No. 6 statewide and first locally among K-12s was Camden, at $23,770 per student counting the new items - a 4 percent increase over 2008-09.
In Camden, total per-student spending minus the added costs included this year - the "budgetary per-pupil cost" - was $19,118.
On other end of the spending spectrum, Monroe Township in Gloucester County was the lowest at $14,066 per student, a 3 percent decrease from the year before. A few notches up the list was academically high-performing Haddonfield, at $14,929 per student.
Statewide, seventh-through-12th-grade districts, or high school districts, averaged $19,882 per pupil. The two local districts that exceeded that were Gloucester's Gateway Regional at $23,385, a 14 percent increase over the previous year, and Lenape Regional at $20,345, 3 percent higher than the year before. All of the totals were calculated with the new items.
Any of y'all need any further interpretation of that?

"your honor, he threw my client out, changed the locks, abandoned her on the street, and held her immigration status over her head. Doesn't that sound like mental/emotional abuse to you? Look at this agreement he signed - it was to maintain her at 125% poverty limit...."
It happens. With that said the BEST thing to do is to quickly and quietly get her to her love back home then file a full report with USCIS as soon as the plane leaves the runway. The USC can file for divorce based on abandonment, sit out the waiting period, and end it after she's gone.
