  1. I was advised to go to the SSA office about 2 weeks after travelling here when applying for the SSN just to allow time for the immigration and SSA systems to correspond with each other (that was my understanding anyway).
  2. It took me about 3 weeks to receive mine and I was told to contact them if it had been more than 4 weeks
  3. Also in terms of appointments keep checking the site as dates and times will become available at some point. I struggled to get an appointment initially until I finally managed to book an appointment (I checked regularly as well). There ended up being about 6 weeks between my medical and my interview at the embassy.
  4. I can’t say for the Montreal embassy but with the London embassy my NOA2 had expired but I brought a signed letter of intent each from me and my now wife with me to the interview which re validated the notice/petition as @Edward and Jaycel mentioned. There were no issues regarding this. I would advise you to bring signed letters of intent from you both.
  5. I just kept the same phone (as my phone is dual SIM compatible) and then got added to my father in laws family plan with AT&T and got a US SIM for it
  6. I also received the approval notification exactly 1 year after I joined VJ as well!
  7. I also received the approval notification exactly 1 year after I joined VJ as well!
  8. Cheers mate - thank you for your help and support during the process as well!
  9. I had my AOS interview yesterday. We got there about 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time and went in 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time so I could check in and go through security and sit in the waiting area until our number was called out by the ISO interviewing us. When our number was called out we then followed the ISO to one of the interview rooms. The interview was about 10-15 minutes and the ISO was polite and friendly. They took my photo and my fingerprints and then asked us some relationship questions (some of them listed below) and then some Yes/No questions. How did you meet? When did you first meet in person? When did you move here? When did you get married? At the end she informally said I would be approved and gave me a piece of paper that said my case was in review but she said they give that to everyone as I believe the cases have to be approved and signed off by a supervisor. Then she said any changes to the case would show about 24 hours after it gets approved. This morning I got the notification on my USCIS online account confirming that the case was approved! So happy! I hope that everyone receives positive news soon regarding their cases soon!

  11. In my case I applied for both the EAD and AP and I got them approved about a month and half after filing (this timeline is factoring in receipt of my AOS package and my biometrics as well). I received the EAD/AP combo card about a week after the approval. I needed the EAD in order to apply for a State Driving License and State ID. The EAD also served as a form of Real ID which I used to go on honeymoon (I have applied for a Real ID State Driving License but I have my test later this month).
  12. Aha it was very good. Definitely go when you get the chance!
  13. There is a documents section on there when viewing on phone and PC
  14. Hi all, Just giving you an update on the honeymoon to Wyoming. We had such an amazing time there! The scenery and wildlife was fantastic. We got to see Moose, Elk, Deer, Pronghorns, Bison, Pikas, Chipmunks, Canadian Geese, Bald Eagle, Black Bears and a Grizzly Bear. We saw young Moose, Bison and Black Bears as well. We spent our time equally in Jackson and just outside of it, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Jackson has that old western town feel. The food was great, the shops were great and activities such as the Cowboy Coaster and Horse Riding were so good and a lot of fun. We also went to the Jackson Rodeo one night - this was my first time ever going to a rodeo and such a great experience. I definitely would go to another rodeo again. The food there was really good as well. I had a Cowboy Potato which had butter, cheese, pulled pork and bbq sauce on it. Grand Teton National Park is very mountainous and open and we saw a lot of wildlife here. We saw sights such as Mormon Row, Elk Ranch Flats, Oxbow Bend and Jenny Lake. We did a Grand Teton Morning Safari and Snake River Float as well here. Yellowstone National Park is mainly forest. We saw a good amount of wildlife here as well. We saw sights such as Old Faithful, Old Faithful Inn and Mammoth Hot Springs. We enjoyed both National Parks equally. We felt they were both different but amazing in their own way. I would definitely recommend Wyoming for people to go and visit on holiday!
  15. I didn't get an update that said Ready to Schedule Interview but my interview got scheduled just over a week after my Biometrics appointment. I got a notification by email for my USCIS account and when I logged into my account in the documents tab for the I-485 there was a PDF of the letter there. The letter was received not long after that.
  16. I received my visa 5 days after my interview. I would definitely check some of the reviews and timelines of other UK VJ members to get an idea of how long it takes
  17. I applied for AP and it got approved the same time along with my EAD so I now have an EAD/AP combo card. I'm not sure how common that is but just wanted to let you know that is what happened in my case. You can always try applying for the AP though
  18. Had my State ID arrive in the post last week while I was on holiday in Wyoming. Going to the bank that my wife uses today to finally open a bank account. Got my driving test later this month so hopefully if I pass that then I can get my State Driving License as well.
  19. I would make a list of each stage and what is required for each one as others have advised on here
