  1. the case number will be the same on the K1-FTP. I remember some time last year reading that some embassies request cases to be sent to them versus the NVC just sending them automatically. i'm not 100% sure if that is accurate, but if it is, it could be that situation. since it is still at the NVC, i would think you could try contacting the embassy itself and see if they have any idea. other wise it may just be a sit an wait unfortunately
  2. yes we contacted the NVC when the date for their processing times updated to after our case was there. they were able to provide us the case number, and basically attached a copy of the K1-FTP to that email.
  3. my husband (then fiance) didn't receive the K1-FTP letter until almost a month after our case had already been at the embassy in Germany. sometimes getting that letter is incredibly slow.
  4. Oh no, not for the k-1 Our whole bout of being long distance lasted 4 years. To get the k-1 took about 11 months
  5. My husband (then fiance) and I spent 4 years apart before he came here on a K-1 visa. We were only able to visit in person maybe twice a year if we were lucky. It definitely sucked but we would call everyday, watch movies and TV shows together (discord is great for that) and it really helped make it seem easier. But let me tell you, the wait was 100% worth it.
  6. they are referring to the CR1/IR1 visa, also called the spousal visa it is different than the K1 visa as in order to file for it, you have to marry your partner first you can read about it here https://www.visajourney.com/ir1-spouse-visa-overview/ *criminal history of the USC is usually irrelevant for the spousal visa unless the conviction/charge falls under the Adam Walsh Act (aka sex crime against a child). There is no requirement that the petitioner disclose their criminal history as any part of a CR1 case
  7. are you able to fill out the form on a computer? using something like adobe acrobat? that would be better honestly, that way everything is legible. if theres any boxes that you can't fill out on a computer, you can hand write them in. but you shouldn't use like whiteout or anything to make corrections
  8. yes you do when you eventually fill out the I-134, both the sponsor (your fiance) and the co-sponsor (her father) fill out separate I-134s
  9. the only way of knowing would be to contact the civil surgeon in the US and show him the corrected vaccine paper and see if he will accept it
  10. unfortunately more than likely not you will need at least the vaccine portion of the I-693 filled out and sent along with your AOS packet
  11. your DS-3025 isnt going to work because the panel physician in your home country didn't mark the box "K Visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements" if that box had been checked you would have been able to avoid doing the I-693/medical exam at all and you could have just submitted a copy of it along with your AOS packet.
  12. i have to keep telling myself "it's only been a week, its gonna take longer than that" so i don't make myself anxious 😂😂
  13. NOA1 can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks our package was delivered 2/7 we also haven't heard anything yet. not even the electronic notification
  14. ahh ok maybe one of the questions accidentally got skipped or something. theres the one section you can skip if the annual household income is over the poverty guidelines, maybe you filled out that one instead of this one? lol
  15. it looks like you didn't respond to questions 62-68 on your original I-485?
  16. the embassy more than likely won't even ask for the letter from the bank most if not all only want the W2s and tax return transcripts instead of bank statements you could use 6 months worth of pay stubs if you want to have something extra
  17. Flu season can last as long as May I don't know if you can delay the medical exam for that long However having the flu once doesn't make you immune, that's why it's recommended to get the flu shot every year You could just as easily get the flu again in a few weeks You could probably wait a week or 2 to give yourself a break from the vaccines, but I don't think delaying your medical to avoid one more is a good idea in general
  18. thats up to you you could probably successfully do it yourself. it probably was something as simple as USCIS lost the entire form themselves. i'm pretty sure when its just a page missing, or a missed question, they only ask for that specific page in the RFE. but if you'd feel more confident going with an attorney, thats fine to. but it seems like a pretty simple RFE in comparison to the typical RFEs people get.
  19. maybe they lost it? or it was the incorrect edition? or is it possible you left some pages of the form out? seems like you just need to send them the entire form again and triple check that every page is filled out completely
  20. then if i were you i would just get both of those vaccines (even the covid shot, regardless just in case someone at USCIS is forgetful) so the civil surgeon can sign off on both. we know for sure the MMR is required, if he doesn't sign it off, USCIS may not accept your I-693.
  21. did the civil surgeon you went to in the states tell you that you only needed to receive the MMR vaccine? and then they would fill out and sign the I-693? if so you can visit any pharmacy, receive that vaccine and the proof you got it, and then go back to the civil surgeon and have them complete the I-693. if they said they said they don't believe that you received any of the vaccines, you will either need to get them again or pay for an antibody test (which would probably be more expensive and take longer). i'm sorry you're in this situation but those are really the only things you can do at this point imo.
  22. the flu vaccine is a required vaccine if the medical exam takes place during flu season. regardless of if you've had the flu recently or not. "Q. When does the flu season start for purposes of the seasonal flu vaccine requirement? Since the seasonal flu vaccine is required, do I have to get the seasonal flu vaccine if it is not the flu season? A. For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the civil surgeon is required to administer the flu vaccine when it is available to them. This availability differs by location, but the vaccine is usually available from October until March. If your immigration medical examination is during a period when the flu vaccine is available to your civil surgeon, you must receive it. If you have an immigration medical examination completed when the flu vaccine is not available to your civil surgeon, then you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine for immigration purposes." https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons/vaccination-requirements
  23. you will probably just have to bite the bullet and redo the vaccines and medical it is unfortunate but realistically your only option
  24. unfortunately you will probably have to receive all of the vaccines again in the US, or at least the MMR, if that is what the civil surgeon told you that you needed and then try the medical exam and I-693 again
  25. that panel physician should have marked it as complete then, if that was all you were missing. having the full series is not a requirement. since that is the case, you will either have to get your vaccine records from which ever doctor(s) you went to in your home country, and provide those to the civil surgeon in the states or get the required vaccines again. if you choose the latter, you are better off getting them at a pharmacy or a regular physician, to save yourself some money and not get them done by the civil surgeon
