  1. I filed our I-130 May 11,2023 and according to the timeline should be approved May 16-19 (hopefully) I know it's not written in stone. My wife is Filipina and working in Hong Kong. Assuming that her interview will be at the consulate there in Hong Kong, does anyone have any idea of a time frame for interviews? Also, what is the process following the interview? Thanks
  2. After 7 months we got to a week, then got the "taking longer than expected". The following week the time was pushed back 9 months.
  3. How long is the typical wait time for interview after receiving the NOA2? Also, my wife is Filipina and works in Hong Kong. Would she go to the US Consulate there in Hong Kong for her interview? Thank you
  4. It wouldn't hurt to submit it. But, if you you're going to, do it now. I filed the I-130 May 2023 and didn't know anything about the K-3. When I did find out about it I didn't bother because according to the time frame for the I-130 decision was within a month. Well, after waiting 4 weeks down to less than a week the wait time was pushed back 9 months. That was when I decided to file for the K-3 which was about 3 weeks ago and just got my receipt. But, I was told on here that I submitted too late and should have been filed right after the I-130 filing. Hope you have better luck than I have. Big waiting game.
  5. Ok, thank you. So grateful for this forum. My wife actually was the one who sent it to me. The US immigration site is so difficult to navigate and find the information that is needed.
  6. Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. And thank you! Ok, thank you!
  7. The time for a decision on the I-130. When I first submitted, it was around 11 months and once we got down to 5 months it was pushed back 4 months. After we got down to less than a week sometime in Dec it said "there are longer wait times than expected ". The following week, it got pushed back 9 months.
  8. Ok, I thought that I could wait until she is home in the US but wasn't exactly sure if it had to be filed in order for her to come home in addition to the I-130.
  9. She's a domestic helper in Hong Kong. No status in the US at the moment. I am a USC.
  10. My wife and I are currently waiting on our I-130 to get approved. I filed May 11,2023 and have been pushed back twice, after getting down to less than a week we get pushed back 9 months. This was the second time. She is Filipina and is working in Hong Kong. My question is about the I-485. Can I file that form after she comes home, or does it have to be done/approved before she can come home?
