  1. Was the plan to immigrate all along? What did they tell cbp at Port of entry? It's fraud to adjust status if that was the intention from the beginning. They would have to go back and be petitioned and go through the embassy
  2. You'll have to start all over again. No way to undo the withdrawal. Be ready to explain the circumstances both at uscis petition and embassy stage.

  14. I understand the process, but where the case number is between the brackets is blank. It's as if they forgot to list it. So far I only have the receipt number from uscis..just wondering if this notification is normal. I inquired 2 weeks ago and I got response that the case was waiting to be entered in the nvc's database. Today I got the above notification.
  15. Petition was approved last month and I inquired to nvc if case number has been created. I got a generic response from nvc that case is established but leaves the number out. The invoice I.D. number for visa petition {CASE_NUMBER} is: {CASE_MASTER_ID} The beneficiary I.D. number for {PA_FULL_NAME_FIRST_LAST} is {BENEFICIARY_ID}. The National Visa Center (NVC) has received your petition from U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services. Your NVC case number is {CASE_NUMBER}. Due to your petition type, you will not receive a request for fee payment or document submission. All case parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Anyone else received this message? Not sure if the case number is created or it's their way of saying to wait more.
  16. Hopefully you should get the NOA2 in about 3 months. Mine did. Obviously keep an eye out for your mail from anything from uscis, check your receipt number for any updates on the USCIS website.
  17. An approved petition is valid for 4 months. It may be extended at the discretion of the embassy.
  18. Adjustment of status is abandoned if the applicant leaves the US while it's being processed.
  19. Also you want to file as soon as possible so the beneficiary can work and travel, get dl or state id, ssc, open bank account.
  20. You can get married here and return back, nothing wrong with that plan. Answer all questions from cbp truthfully.
  21. You're a Green Card holder until you have your certificate of naturalization in hand. Once a US citizen you must enter and leave the US using a US passport.
  22. A lot of countries don't stamp passports anymore. Every time you enter your passport is scanned and an electronic record is made (I 94)
