I entered USA as tourist on visa.
Then transfered to the student visa while being in USA.
Got my GC
Then went through the process and became a Citizen (as I mentioned above in the thread!).
We are are getting off topic. Its not about me, its about my father and what i can do for him to shorthen it. He is getting older and it is a long time to wait for his ban to expire. That why im doing my best to find a way, if there is such possibility.

Hi,
I have a question. My father exceeded his stay in the United States on his tourist visa. He now has a banned entry into the United States until 2027 (10 year ban). I recently became an American citizen and thought that this can help him get rid of this ban. I talked to an immigration lawyer and they told me that there is no way to shorten it. Is this true? There are no waivers that can help him? Or anything else that can help him expedite the process?
