Okay, I'm sure that your relatives are already here in us by this time. And I am glad I didn't read this before sending my brother to Colombia; I'm pretty sure I would have freaked out (AND, from a Venezuelan Standpoint .. a valid feeling).

After reading and reading and breaking down the USCIS statement, I asked my brother to get a vaccine approved by the WHO in Venezuela; one available is Sinopharm, a Chinese vaccine. Received 12/5/22 first dose. Traveled to USA 12/21. Second dose was supposed 12/25/22.

He traveled via BUS from Valencia to Cucuta - Entry and exit stamp in Colombian migration. Note: Venezuela migration does not stamp your exit passport if it is expired. And Cucuta-bog-Miami via AVIANCA. No issues. I hope this update helps someone!

Joining this thread cause I sent my package on Nov 22. According to UPS the package arrived the Chicago mailbox yesterday (Tuesday Nov 29). I'm guessing Thanksgiving slowed down things a little so I'm patiently waiting for my NOA.

We went with option #3. From my understanding it requires good justification. We made our case by explaining the situation of why they are here (Uniting for Ukraine and displaced my the war), they have not accessible assets, and no way to make an income at this time.

Hey all, my in laws and friend will make their flights to the U.S. a little after midnight, so I'll post with an update on questions they were asked. Just a heads up, if anyone takes a bus into Colombia, makes sure you receive a stamp in your passport; my in laws were not allowed to board their Cucuta - Bogota flight without it, and had to return to the border to get it.

Ohh. No, under this process the beneficiary only receives a Travel Authorization to seek parole in USA. That Travel Authorization document would state when would be the expiration day, which is 90 days from the moment the beneficiary gets approved and receives the document. The parole you refer to is granted at POE.

Edit: The earlier they leave, the better. We don't know how the 24.000 cap works.

Were you able to fill the form? Found out that, when filling the form, you only need to add 5 years from the date of your expiration. Let's say you have a passport without prorroga, and the expiration date is "26/10/2020". In that case you need to fill the form with "26/10/2025" instead.

"The process is capped at 24,000 beneficiaries. After this cap is reached, DHS will not approve additional beneficiaries..." It seems like DHS will only approve 24,000 travel authorizations. I don't think it will approve more than that. So the scenario of traveling with the travel authorization and not being granted parole at the POE because the 24,000 cap was reached already would be unlikely. But that's just my opinion.

Thank you for that link. I agree with your assessment but I'm not a lawyer and much less a policy enforcer. One thing I did see is that this program is conditioned on Mexico willingly accepting removed Venezuelans. Not sure how likely that would be to change but it is just another point of uncertainty.

Correct. We are applying for my wife's brother and his wife who is Venezuelan. I just didn't know how fast we had to get them plane tickets. We have  been planning for over a year on meeting in Colombia in December which would be the first time my wife's entire immediate family would be together in years, but I'm not certain if we have the luxury of waiting until them for them to come here to the US. It would be in 90 day window but I would hate for them to not to be let if the 24,000 gets filled up before.

Check out this link! It’s for the Uniting for Ukraine thread, but there quite a few comments about people’s experiences at the port of entry. You can start at page 11 for those.

On the travel authorization, it doesn’t state what spot number you’ve secured. It only states that you’ve been approved for travel and to be prepared to show the authorization on your account. You also need to make sure you meet the requirements to board the aircraft. One thing I want to point out, the travel authorization does state that you are REQUIRED to enter the US via commercial air, otherwise you’ll be denied.

They only ask you to scan your passport and  take a pic of your face through their CBP One mobile application. That's all.
