    Update about my SSN: I received my EAD and after waiting way more than 45 days the SSN never arrived on the mail 🤪 so I just went to my local Social Security Office, showed them my EAD and passport and they issued a SSN for me. They said I’ll receive it within 2 weeks. So, if you received the EAD and after 45 days there’s no sign of SSN card just go to your closest Social Security Office (call first cause some of them just work with appointments).

    Hey just so y'all know, I got my EAD card on January 6th and I still haven't received my SSN 😬 supposedly you get it a week or so after the EAD. I called the Social Security Office and they told me to wait cause according to them it actually takes 45 days to receive the SSN card. I'll keep you updated on how it goes, but if the 45 days past I will have to visit my local social security office.

    Thank you! This is the status of the EAD before the appointment: I filed on Nov 22 and got my first NOA on Nov 29

    Today I had my biometrics appointment and hours later my EAD was approved! 😃 The card is being produced. I am so happy! Hopefully everyone will get their approval soon too.

    I took a look at your timeline and looks like we both sent the package on the same week. I got my biometrics appointment scheduled yesterday too! USCIS received my package on November 29th and I got the firsts physical NOA Monday Dec 5th. I would recommend you to ask Emma about it on the USCIS website.

    Just received a text today (December 1st) saying that my case was received and the NOA is on their way on the mail! 😃

    Joining this thread cause I sent my package on Nov 22. According to UPS the package arrived the Chicago mailbox yesterday (Tuesday Nov 29). I'm guessing Thanksgiving slowed down things a little so I'm patiently waiting for my NOA.

    Hopefully I'll have the same luck! Thank you 😃 I don't have checks and money orders tend to be the safest option from what I understand (because the money is already charged from your account). Anyways I already sent the package like that so let's see what happens.

    Well... we will see what happens in some weeks. I already sent the package lol. My husband told me that it shouldn't matter. I'll keep the forum updated in case someone else have the same question in the future. Thanks for the replies! 😃

    Hi, wonderful people from this forum. So I went to Wells Fargo to finally get the money orders for my filling fees and I didn't notice at the bank but when I arrived home I see that they say PAY TO THE ORDER OF: US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY instead of U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY. I don't know if I'm being paranoid but does that count as a typo? 😭 Thanks in advance!
