  1. We don't have any property, mortgage, auto loan, significant savings or assets to draft estate Wills and such. My husband met current income requirements for i-864 and added me to all medical, tax and insurance stuff. We'll look at trying to do a POA and adding me to his bank accounts but again I wonder if doing one after getting an interview call would look red flaggy?? Irony is during K1 we wished our application would get picked early but it didn't.... 2yrs for it all. Now for AOS it got picked TOO damn early... before we could be ready. I swear the gods are bored monkeys looking for entertainment at our expense.
  2. You got approved despite not having a joint bank account?? This is what is worrying me. We got an interview for next month. 3 months after submitting AoS. I can't work yet and we didn't get around to my bank account or a joint one yet. Coz what's the point when I can't make my own income yet. I'm on my husband's lease, insurances and such.
  3. Hi, I'm now in a similar situation. What happened in your case? Did you do anything to get your card faster or just wait it out till it came in the mail??
  4. Me too. Also from India btw. Did you get your EAD and advance parole?? I had my biometrics on June 16th and no update on anything since. I would like to at least have work authorization and travel parole. Can I call USCIS or go to the field office and push this somehow?
  5. He is excluding my income as I have no income. So pls confirm once more, his W2 needed or not to clarify to USCIS that it's only his income meeting their requirements?
  6. No W2 needed with tax return transcript even if husband filed taxes as married filing jointly? This is where I'm getting confused. No consistent answer to this on visa journey and USCIS instructions are really not very clear.
  7. I read several threads and I'm still not sure on this. Pls older wiser members confirm I got this right. K1 to AOS filing. I'm not working, no EAD, no income. Hubby did taxes this year and added me. I guess it's called joint filing? Hubby makes well above poverty guidelines so he is the sole sponsor. Works as employee for a university. 1)So for I-864, all we have to add is tax return transcript, his paystubs 6 months and employment letter, US citizenship proof, right? 2) no need for his W2, right? 3) only this year tax return transcript is sufficient right? No need for 3 yrs?? I-864 Form asks to write income for 3 yrs in some section but only this year tax return transcript is sufficient, right? Sorry, my head is hurting and getting super confused on this topic so plz someone break it down for me 😭
  8. Hey did your ds 3025 have your WAC or A number typed on it? Or the ds160 interview confirmation number instead??
  9. Did your panel physician type your WAC or a number on your ds 3025? Mine put my DS 160 confirmation number instead and now I'm wondering if I'll get an RFE for medical
  10. So do K1s need to do the partial I693 now or completed ds3025 is sufficient? The new medical update from couple months ago wasn't clear to me
  11. Should I upload my ds160 page so the officer can cross check the case number on my DS 3025 with that and hopefully not send me an RFE for medical?
  12. Is the DS 3025 copy sufficient or do K1s need to do the partial I-693 now? The new medical update from couple months ago wasn't clear to me
  13. I'm already in the US now, on K1 to AOS process. Just noticed my completed DS 3025 copy I received has a "case or alien number" section where the panel physician has wrote my ds160 confirmation number instead of the WAC or my A number. Would this be a problem? The form has my passport number, name, DOB and all. But would the USCIS officer be able to locate my medical without the WAC or A number typed on my DS 3025? I wonder if this technicality is going to give me an RFE for another medical? Damn hope not!
  14. But isn't overstay a violation? Wouldn't you have to say yes to it in the Global Entry application? Or is it only if you're "found"?
  15. Did she admit to that in the AOS filing and Global entry filing? Mine is a few months between K1 and AOS. But I'll apply for Global Entry later. Wondering if admitting to a few months overstay would be reason for rejection?
  16. You can start on collecting the police clearance certificates from all countries beneficiary has lived in as a resident except US. Some countries procedure are easy, others can be a delaying mess and take weeks. My home country's embassy was a headache to deal with when I had to do it.
  17. It's Dec 31st 2024. Few more hours to the New Year's. I'm sitting on a comfy couch, reading an interesting book, in a warm cozy living room while my beautiful hubby (I can officially call him that now!) is munching his dinner in the dining room. And I can't help but think how this year started. On January 1st 2024, we both were miserable. Exhausted after a year and a half apart. 15 months to get our NoA 2 for our I-129f petition. Mr. Fiance at the time had to board his flight back to US. I had balled my eyes out earlier at the holiday family get together, only making it harder for him to leave. He still prefers to not recollect that horrible day. And now we're back together, forever we say, and never again apart, we say. I'm a happily married Mrs now. I'm proud of us! For making it through this heart aching journey while our friends and family got married so easily around us. We still got more of this... THIS! To do. We got the next AOS journey ahead. But it doesn't bother us anymore. We'll take it one step at a time. We're together. Life is sweet again. We'll be opening some happy drinks and welcoming the New Year tonight. Wish you all a happy new year of marital bliss. We all have truly earned it!
  18. What's the point of this advice? Everywhere in this forum it is being established that USCIS estimated timelines are unreliable. You are flipping on your advice in your last comment. So it's best to file all 3 together regardless to be on the safe side for anyone else reading this thread.
  19. Umm so we are also November 2022 filers and we haven't received our Noa2 yet. Are we still in the normal processing time and just need to be patient? Or should we panic and chase after uscis now??
