Hey, I don’t want to sound stupid, but I’m totally confused. We just got the e-mail from NVC that they sent our documents, day later instead of in transit I see “ready” . So I think that I need to apply for medical and interview already, But we have an attorney with which I’m not happy ( I know he is busy, but reapplying more that week and saying do not rush all the time it’s quite annoying). So, after this “ready” what should I do? Attorney said we have to wait consulate to send paperwork back with asked financial docs (not necessary o134) , but as far as I know I need him just to file I-134 and send to me? so I will be able to bring it with me. Who schedules the interview me online, NVC, consulate? Will I get a massage at all about interview?
Hi Everyone, I have a question for the group.... hoping to get some opinions / feedback. I was originally sponsored for family visa under the F2B category (Unmarried son & daughter of Permanent Resident) in 2012. My priority date (4/31/12) became current in Mar 2019. My family sponsor became a United States Citizen in Feb 2019 and I was automatically moved to F1 category, but had made a request to keep in the F2B category under Section 6 of the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) because the priority date in the F2B category was further along than F1. I have submitted all information to NVC and became Documentary Qualified for Embassy Interview on 2/6/2019 and have been waiting since for an interview to be scheduled. (Montreal, Canada Embassy) My priority date has since become "current" for the F1 category with the August '19 Visa Bulletin, and I'm wondering if it would make any sense at this point to see to change category again back to F1 in order to expedite my process. I'm just wondering if getting an interview scheduled will be quicker under the F1 category as compared to the F2B category. Any opinions / feedback would be most appreciated.
Has anyone had their marriage based interview canceled and got their greencard sent to them?? I’ve heard or situations like this when the couple has been married for a while.
So my wife finally got her "We are scheduling your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, for an interview." Notice in April on the website followed by a mail letter saying her interview had been scheduled and we would receive notice of the date?. When it go to two months I had her call just because I was worried we never received it in the mail. Well the call did not go well. The woman did not seem to be much help at all. She said she did not have access to when the interview was. She said she could only send out a letter for a new interview. My wife asked if she could have a confirmation number and the lady said she did not have access to that part of the system either. But she said we would get new notice of appointment in 30 days. Well we received the letter she said she would send. It was odd to us though because it did not have the normal 'notice of action' and green paper. It was just a very plain white piece of paper with typing on it that said the following information was found and that her interview would be rescheduled and we would receive notice in 60 days (not 30 as we were told) and said if we reschedule they do not have to consider it and can toss her application (but we didn't reschedule we just never got notice and were worried due to the sudden political nature regarding immigrants that we would miss her chance to be a citizen. Sooo. anyway long story but . Did we just jump the gun and not wait long enough for notice of schedule appointment? By some of your experiences how long after you received the actual appointment date ahead of the date itself? Is there a current longer than average wait time right now once they say you have an appointment till when it actually is? UGH.. and how do you even know if you missed a meeting if they cant tell you when the meeting was or is and if you are worried maybe you did not get the letter in the mail?
