  1. Hi, I’m very new to this and in the process of filling out papers to be able to live in the US. I’m a Canadian citizen and my dad(US citizen) is sponsoring me. I’m in the process of filling out the “online immigration visa and Alien registration application (DS-260)” where it asks you to put “permanent address” does it have to be the same as your sponsors or can it be somewhere else? It’s also where my green card will be sent. And also, my interview will be in Montreal at the embassy there. Any info about the interview and what it’s like is greatly appreciated! thank you.
  2. What to expect on interview cr1 visa, if before few years back I had k1 visa with same guy with no wedding after that and refused tourist visa?

  5. Currently in the K1 Process in Egypt and my fiance needs to get his police certificate. How does he go about doing so? and from where? Is there a specific place he needs to go to be able to have it done?
  6. Hello, My (I'm USC) I-130 petition for my husband (beneficiary) was approved Dec 2019. We're currently in the States right now and we thought we had to have the I-130 approved first so it was filed separately from the AOS. The AOS was eventually submitted. As of Dec 2019 based on the USCIS case status tool online we're ready to be scheduled for an interview. Although we still haven't received a notice of the exact date. But regarding the I-130 approval notice it states that the petition was sent to the NVC. That my husband will receive further correspondence and we're assuming it could be further instructions. What could that be? We've also been told that if we did receive that correspondence from NVC we are to let them know that we've filed my husband's AOS already. By doing this, NVC will close our case on their side. Is this advice correct? If yes, do we also let them know we're waiting for the scheduled interview notice? If no, what would be the appropriate actions we need to take? Please any input would be greatly appreciated Thank you
  7. Sorry I'm going to try and keep this short! Back story: I married my husband in 2008. I divorced him in 2014. And I just remarried him again in December 2017. When we were married the first time we filed the I130 and were approved, but never followed through. He was given a 10 year ban and as of October this year, has completed and complied with the ban - he's been in Mexico for the last 10 years. Currently: We got married again 12/2017, and filed the I130 with our (same) lawyer. I received the I797 with a notice date of 10/01/2018 saying it was approved. Our priority date is 01/16/2018. We submitted all required documents and received notification on February 11, 2019 that all documents were received and he is in queue waiting for an interview. We have yet to receive an interview date! Is this normal? The lawyer says that they are taking longer than usual at the embassy in Juarez. Do you think our previous marriage is negatively impacting him obtaining an interview date? Is there anything else I can or should be doing? Just looking for opinions and any help/advice/signs of hope is greatly appreciated! 😁
  8. Hello, my fiance has his interview on Wednesday and we just now realized it asks for the original and a photocopy of each document. Is it okay if we dont have copies or is it mandatory? If it is, is the photocopy required for every document or just certain ones?
  9. Hello all, I am in a dilemma at the moment. Initially they told us to be watching the Visa Bulletin for when it will get to our turn( For Family Based i30 Visa) Now we are told (and I checked online status as well) that the status is showing ISSUED. It was said to be issued in may 2019 This is where the confusion is. My son and his family still have their passports with them and they have not done any interviews also. I am lost here. Oct 2008 is the date. I need to know if anyone is in thesame category can say how the whole process happened! I am so lost. Consulate is Nigeria. Married Son of a US Citizen priority date October 2008
  10. So I mailed all the documents that was requested to the U.S. Embassy. They asked for the original CENOMAR but that was the only one we had. We mailed the CENOMAR, but now we don't have another one to bring to the interview. Will that be an issue? Since we sent it to them, they should already have it and shouldn't ask for it at the interview right? Thank you!
  11. Hello...we have FINALLY arrived at the point where we can schedule my finale's interview in Montreal for the K-1 France Visa...and there are no appointments available. It is still on the payment page...but I don't see where I can actually go to pay the fee. When I click home it says to "pay fee" but when I click there it takes be back to the page that shows there are no appointment date available. How long do you think we will have to wait/how far out will the interview be scheduled? Thanks for your help!!
  12. Hey, I don’t want to sound stupid, but I’m totally confused. We just got the e-mail from NVC that they sent our documents, day later instead of in transit I see “ready” . So I think that I need to apply for medical and interview already, But we have an attorney with which I’m not happy ( I know he is busy, but reapplying more that week and saying do not rush all the time it’s quite annoying). So, after this “ready” what should I do? Attorney said we have to wait consulate to send paperwork back with asked financial docs (not necessary o134) , but as far as I know I need him just to file I-134 and send to me? so I will be able to bring it with me. Who schedules the interview me online, NVC, consulate? Will I get a massage at all about interview?
  13. Hi Everyone, I have a question for the group.... hoping to get some opinions / feedback. I was originally sponsored for family visa under the F2B category (Unmarried son & daughter of Permanent Resident) in 2012. My priority date (4/31/12) became current in Mar 2019. My family sponsor became a United States Citizen in Feb 2019 and I was automatically moved to F1 category, but had made a request to keep in the F2B category under Section 6 of the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) because the priority date in the F2B category was further along than F1. I have submitted all information to NVC and became Documentary Qualified for Embassy Interview on 2/6/2019 and have been waiting since for an interview to be scheduled. (Montreal, Canada Embassy) My priority date has since become "current" for the F1 category with the August '19 Visa Bulletin, and I'm wondering if it would make any sense at this point to see to change category again back to F1 in order to expedite my process. I'm just wondering if getting an interview scheduled will be quicker under the F1 category as compared to the F2B category. Any opinions / feedback would be most appreciated.
