  1. Generally no evidence is required, but IO may ask few questions about that marriage.
  2. No, some letters etc come without status update or warning. In some rare cases people don't even know they were issued RFE / decision because their online status never updated but letter went to old address.
  3. It's the sponsor's problem to update I-865. No issue for you as long as you submit AR-11. Be careful with address changes and monitor both old and new address. Sometimes USCIS ignores mailing address and sends letters to old physical address. Minimize moving with ROC pending as much as possible.
  4. Writ of Mandamus is the next logical step. But I'd review I-751 and make it stronger before suing USCIS.
  5. Classic. I doubt it would be yet another 7 months after 6 months in.
  6. Good luck! Regarding laptop - if you can avoid taking it, I wouldn't take it. You have to go through airport like security.
  7. As you enter the US, you'll get immigrant visa endorsed. It will be valid for entry to the US for one year (as if you enter with green card. So no problem there. The problem arises if USPS returns green card back to USCIS or it gets lost. Then you'll have to silver the issue. If you're out of country you may not act fast enough and would have to get I-90 filed (meaning additional wait).
  8. I think as long as you can get any written response from embassy it should be OK.
  9. USCIS may want to see passport for other reasons other than departure and arrival from the US. You list countries visited and USCIS may want to cross-check information reflected by stamps in your passport. What if you visited North Korea, Cuba, other countries and locations US considers elevated risk? Many countries allow keeping old passport as long as you request it when renewing...
  10. USCIS often doesn't want to accept alternatives such as beneficiary income or assets. Instead of wasting time responding to RFEs and trying to prove you can use these, it's simpler to go with a flow and get a joint sponsor, who is typically accepted with no issues.
  11. If you're taking about I-751, yes, it can get approved without interview while N-400 is pending. But N-400 requires interview.
  12. I hope you're aware this estimation is worthless? It's totally made up and inaccurate.
  13. Yes he is your family now and has to be listed.
  14. I think this may be down to state / city laws and regulations. I know for sure you can fire guns in Vegas as a tourist at ranges legally.
  15. Did you file I-765? As soon as your spouse gets EAD, he can apply for SSN in SSA in person. Biometrics is usually just the beginning of process. It can take a year after biometrics for I-485 to be approved.
  16. As my profile says, I always advocate for taking the safest approach. Personally, I would only reachedule USCIS interview in one of the following cases: - Wife giving birth - Attending funeral of a close relative - Serious illness - $100000 cash is given on a spot if I attend some event and skip USCIS interview I ask myself, what's the probability of USCIS denying petition due to no show if I attend on time with letter? It's probably under 1%, but even that happens in rare cases. What's the probability of USCIS messing up reschedule request? Definitely lower than 10%, but I'd say could be few percent. Would I want to deal with USCIS error? No. So I'd shift any meeting / trip / event to show up to the interview. But that's me.
  17. Very nice, congratulations! USCIS is improving processes, seems like you benefited from those improvements. Any plans for naturalization? That one for sure requires an interview.
  18. You can try, but you'd have to list any relatives in the US, and it may be hard to overcome immigrant intent being married to a US citizen living in the US.
  19. You don't have to file I-130 again for the same beneficiary if you remain married. Your relationship was established. Denial meaning visa was denied. If you file again with valid proof of domicile, it should get approved. This is my understanding. Others can correct me.
  20. Not reject, but deny. Yes. I-130 will remain approved though.
  21. The total is fine. If you can avoid paying with credit card and pay with the personal check instead - that's much better to ensure credit card transaction won't get denied.
  22. No, approval notice may not be enough. Just wait for GC, it only takes few weeks.
  23. You can get interviewed or it can get waived. GC will probably take about a year from I-485 filing date. Did you file I-131 and I-765 with your AOS?
  24. What do you mean by masked versions? Not showing full name? That's OK, this is official transcript from US government agency. USCIS officers see them all the time.
